The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, July 27, tease that Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) fake bliss won’t fool Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will blast Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) for targeting Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner).
In Italy, Summer will happily greet her grandparents and take them out for a fun lunch. She’ll be full of positivity when it comes to this exciting new job and the incredible life she’s now living.
Summer will act like Milan is such an amazing place and will basically make it seem like all her dreams have come true.
Of course, Nikki and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) know their granddaughter awfully well. They’ll sense that perhaps Summer’s just pretending everything is wonderful – partly to convince them and partly to convince herself.
Victor and Nikki will wonder if Summer’s sure that she’s found happiness in Milan, but she won’t see what she has to complain about.
Summer will confess to missing her family, but she’ll suggest the move was worth it and will be good for her in the long run.
After Summer makes it clear she has no regrets, Victor will step away for a business call.
That’ll give Nikki an opportunity to grill Summer and try to get the truth out of her.
Nikki will offer a second chance to come clean, especially on the topic of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Nikki will hope Summer might be more honest during a one-on-one chat with her grandma, so we’ll see if Summer relents. Regardless, Summer is indeed struggling with heartbreak much more than she’s letting on.
Other Y&R spoilers say Kyle will rip into Phyllis for judging Tara and trying to act like she’s up to no good. He’ll insist Tara feels targeted and will want this to stop.
Phyllis will probably argue that Kyle’s letting Tara pull the wool over his eyes, but he’ll think she needs to drop all the accusations about his ex’s motives.
Kyle will rush to Tara’s defense and make it clear she’s not to blame for Summer’s decisions. However, Phyllis will disagree and continue her efforts to prove Tara’s been scheming with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Speaking of Sally, she’ll get a big surprise from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
It looks like Jack will have a special date night in mind, so this will lead to a conversation about what’s going on between them and what their next move will be.
Sally will hope to keep moving this romance in the right direction, but Phyllis will have other plans.
Phyllis will kick off a plot to back Sally and Tara into a corner, so there’ll be more developments on that in the coming episodes.
