The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, June 1, tease that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will be in paternity denial and will want more proof that Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) isn’t really his son. Meanwhile, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will speak with a private investigator who delivers some big news.
First, let’s talk about the DNA results that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will present to Ashland. Even after the envelope is opened and the proof’s right there in front of him, Ashland won’t buy it.
We honestly can’t blame Ashland under the circumstances since the test was done behind his back.
It’s perfectly reasonable for Ashland to suspect this could be a ploy – and that’s indeed what he’ll argue in Tuesday’s Y&R episode. Ashland truly loves Harrison, so we can understand why he’d want to deny the accuracy of these results and keep fighting.
Regardless of what the truth is, Ashland will think the matter warrants further investigation.
Speaking of investigations, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will meet with a private investigator who could help her put some crucial puzzle pieces together. Telma Hopkins will make her first appearance as Denise Tolliver, a PI who’s going to help Amanda learn more about her past and her family.
Denise is likely the same private investigator that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) put Richard “Rick” Nealon in touch with all those years ago.
Amanda’s operating under the assumption that Richard never found her, but what if he did and was simply killed before he could claim Amanda or her twin sister, Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan)?
Whatever the case, Denise will have a meeting with Amanda and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) in a hotel suite. It’ll bring a major revelation that shakes things up for Amanda once again.
We should note that this will be Mishael Morgan’s first day back in the role, so tune in and give her a warm welcome home as Amanda!
Back with the paternity storyline, Summer Newman (Hunter King) will accept the results unlike Ashland. She’ll try to wrap her head around the fact that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) is going to have a permanent place in Kyle’s life.
The fact that Tara and Kyle share a son won’t do much to ease Summer’s mind since that’ll only solidify their connection.
Of course, there’s a chance that the results were tampered with – especially since Tara has everything to gain from a move like that. No matter where things go from here, Summer will have a hard time dealing with Tara inserting herself in Kyle’s world.
As for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), he’ll know a serious Ashland storm could be brewing and will do everything in his power to protect his family.
