The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, June 29 Recap – Chelsea Fights Adam's Connor Grab - Kyle & Tara Bond

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 29, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will bond over fresh heartbreak while Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) potential ranch move enrages Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

In Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) suite, his flirty conversation with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will be interrupted by a news alert on his phone. Ashland will wonder how this could’ve happened and will assume Victoria just got the same alert.

The notification will be about a gossip site’s story on Ashland having six months to live, so he’ll have a hunch about who leaked it and take off.

At Chelsea’s psychiatric facility, she’ll be weirdly upbeat when Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) comes to visit.

Chelsea will eventually admit acting normal is her only way out. She’ll think she has to be the poster child for normalcy since they can’t keep her there if she’s cured.

“Right, but are you?” Chloe will ask. Chelsea won’t see what difference it makes and will wonder how normal anyone is anyway.

Chloe will ask if Chelsea really thinks she can pull off two back-to-back miraculous recoveries without anyone getting suspicious.

Suddenly, Dr. Hedges (Michael Bofshever) will interrupt and push to speak with Chelsea in private. Chloe will praise Chelsea’s progress on her way out, but Dr. Hedges will remind her that recoveries like this take time.

Once Chelsea is alone with Dr. Hedges, she’ll pretend she’s seen the light and knows he’s on her side.

Chelsea will act committed to getting better and will suggest Dr. Hedges might be the only one who can help her get back to Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

Meanwhile, Adam will have a romantic flashback with Chelsea before remembering when he confronted her about turning against him. He’ll sigh before getting on an elevator and heading to Newman Media.

That’s where Adam and Victor will debate whether the news about Ashland dying is true. Adam will note that if it is, buying Cyaxares might’ve just been the first step for them.

At the Abbott mansion, Tara will wonder if there’s anything she can do for brokenhearted Kyle. After Kyle insists there’s nothing, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) will rush out and greet his daddy.

Tara will know Kyle promised to spend some more time with Harrison, but she’ll understand if it isn’t the right time. However, Kyle will think there’s never been a better time, so that’ll earn a satisfied smirk from Tara.

At ChancComm, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will show Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) the story about Ashland having six months to live. They’ll establish that if it’s true and Victoria knows, then that’s huge and changes things.

Billy and Lily will decide to divide and conquer, so that’ll lead to Lily quizzing Victoria while Billy handles Ashland.

Back in the Abbott home, Ashland will barge in and demand to see his soon-to-be ex-wife. He’ll accuse Tara of leaking the news about his illness to the media, but Tara will insist she has no idea what he’s talking about.

Tara will argue that she wouldn’t do that to Ashland or Harrison. She’ll think Ashland is just looking for an easy target and will be done letting Ashland take his torment out on her.

Once Tara stomps off, Kyle will force Ashland to leave – but not before Ashland rubs it in about Summer Newman (Hunter King) dumping Kyle and leaving for Italy.

Afterward, Tara will sense that Ashland must’ve said something to get under Kyle’s skin. Kyle will admit it was about Summer, so Tara will hope he knows he can lean on her.

After Kyle talks about how hard he tried to stop Summer from leaving, he’ll admit he has to figure out a way to start over.

Tara will apologize if her presence with Harrison affected Summer’s decision, but Kyle won’t want Tara blaming herself for this. Tara won’t think Kyle should blame himself either, so he’ll share a warm moment as he thanks her.

Kyle will suggest it felt different talking through this with Tara than it did with other people.

Tara will guess that’s because they’re both dealing with fresh heartbreak, so that connects them. Kyle will think Tara must be right and will be grateful for the company.

At Crimson Lights, Victoria will shut down Lily’s fishing expedition. She’ll act like the story about Ashland was a rumor designed to make him look vulnerable. In the meantime, Victor and Adam will meet with Ashland at Society.

They’ll hope Ashland’s willing to keep Newman Media in mind if he decides to sell off other divisions. Ashland will get the feeling that’s meant to transition into a conversation about his health.

Billy will invite himself to join that conversation, but Adam will pipe up that the story’s trash and will push Billy to back off. Ashland will argue that he’s never felt more alive and vital.

Later, Victor will tell Adam it was smart to defend Ashland. After Victor admits he thinks the story is true, talk will turn to how Adam hasn’t been sleeping well. Adam will talk about the penthouse being full of ghosts and will confess that he’s considering selling it.

Victor will think the perfect solution is for Adam to move in the tack house or even the main house once Connor comes home.

In Victoria’s office, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will snoop and see a document on Victoria’s desk about Locke Communications Group. It’ll take some convincing, but she’ll finally pry the truth out of her daughter.

Victoria will swear Nikki to secrecy and reveal that Ashland confided in her about his deadly condition. She’ll explain that pitched a merger, but she won’t want Nikki to breathe a word to anyone.

Once Billy reconvenes with Lily, he’ll think they’re close to getting to the bottom of this despite striking out with Ashland and Victoria.

“You gotta remember, I know Victoria better than almost anyone,” Billy will insist. That’ll leave Lily looking a bit uneasy on Tuesday’s Y&R episode.

At Chelsea’s facility again, she’ll be outraged when Adam comes to see her – and even more outraged when she learns about the possible Newman ranch move.

Chelsea will think this is all about trying to steal Connor. She’ll accuse Adam of needing a “new command post” and making it so Chelsea will never have access.

Chelsea will add that Adam’s setting it up so that he has enough time and space to turn Connor against her.

Adam will wish Chelsea would understand that he’d never do that, but Chelsea will fire back about digging deep and realizing that Adam is her biggest enemy.

As other Y&R updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea’s mental state will continue to decline, so don’t miss what’s ahead on the CBS soap.
