The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, July 6, tease that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will face a public health setback while Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) plays a dangerous game. Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will also make a vow related to Richard Nealon’s murder that’ll affect Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Storey) future, so let’s talk about all the twists and turns.
Since Ashland won’t be feeling up to flying to LA like he wanted, he’ll settle for taking Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) out to dinner at Society.
That’s where Ashland will start coughing as he struggles to take deep breaths. Ashland won’t be able to hide how bad his condition is getting, so this will be embarrassing for a guy who’s used to feeling so powerful and in control.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will happen to be around when Ashland has this public show of sickness, but he won’t make a big deal out of it.
Y&R spoilers say Adam will make a move that’s helpful and kind, but Ashland won’t feel like he’s being coddled.
Ashland will be grateful for how Adam chooses to step up here, but this ordeal will remind Ashland that he’s not invincible.
As a result, Ashland will want to let Victoria out of this friendship – or the more than friendship it’s quickly turning into.
He wouldn’t hold it against Victoria if this was too overwhelming, but Victoria will want to continue both their personal and professional relationship.
Victoria will think they just need to make the most of however long Ashland has left.
Ashland legitimately seems to have small-cell lung carcinoma like he claims, but we’ll see if any bombshells happen that might indicate he’s lying down the road. You never know what a man like Ashland Locke has up his sleeve!
Chelsea is a master manipulator as well, so look for her to play a dangerous game as she plots a getaway.
Chelsea’s escape plan will involve securing a recording as leverage – one that proves Dr. Hedges is being paid by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Chelsea will want to force a meeting with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) at the park and might even plot to turn that into a kidnapping.
Regardless, Chelsea will do some scheming in her psychiatric facility room and hope she’s got the details mapped out to perfection.
Other Y&R spoilers say Amanda will promise to pursue the truth about her bio dad’s death no matter what.
Amanda will vow to get Naya off the hook and make Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) pay instead, but is Sutton actually guilty? We’ll have to wait and see, but there are more bombshells to come in this storyline.
