The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, July 28 – Mariah's Escape Route – Video Proof of Sally & Tara's Link

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, July 28, tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will need an escape route while Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) scores video proof of Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) link.

First, let’s discuss the missing Mariah storyline, which has been told from the perspective of the people worrying about her so far.

We’ll see more concern from Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) on Wednesday, but we should see Mariah’s perspective soon as well.

Y&R’s weekly promo features Mariah trapped behind a locked door, so Wednesday’s episode may highlight the stuck surrogate’s dilemma. Mariah will plead with her captor for freedom, but she won’t be allowed back out in the world.

It’s clear that Mariah needs an escape route, but it’s doubtful she’ll find one on her own. F

ortunately, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) has asked for a clue, so Mariah might be able to offer a hint of some sort if she can access her phone.

Whatever the case, Mariah will be an emotional wreck – and the people waiting for her to come home will grow more concerned as well.

Once Mariah misses the doctor’s appointment she was supposed to return for, that should be what really sounds the alarm.

As for Phyllis, she’ll get some video evidence she can use to trap Sally and Tara. After luring Tara to The Grand Phoenix through a text on Sally’s phone, Phyllis will thoroughly enjoy the show.

Tara and Sally’s baffled bickering will lead to them taking it somewhere more private, which means they’ll hop on the elevator and head to Sally’s suite.

Since Sally and Tara’s argument will continue on that elevator, Phyllis will score some security footage of the pair in a heated confrontation. She’ll view that as proof that Tara and Sally know each other far better than they’re letting on.

Phyllis will make sure Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) see the footage, but there’ll be no sound – and that’ll leave the door open for Sally and Tara to talk their way out of trouble once again.

Of course, the jig will still be up for Sally and Tara in the coming episodes, but they’ll cling to hope of avoiding disaster for as long as they can.

Phyllis won’t stop until she sinks both women, so Tara and Sally will have to brace for more drama.

In the meantime, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will force Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to wait, but it may be for a good reason. The suspense will be killing Elena, but perhaps that’s due to a romantic surprise Nate will have in store.

Unfortunately, Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) could cause more problems since she’s clearly got her eye on Nate. Elena will have to step up to protect what’s hers as Imani inches closer, so stay tuned.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate could face some steamy temptation down the road!
