The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, July 28 Recap – Stitch Lying About New GC Job – Mariah Demands Answers

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 28, reveals that we’ll find out Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) is lying about his new GC job – and prisoner Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will demand answers from her captor. Here’s what Y&R viewers can expect on Wednesday’s thrilling show.

At Society, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will catch Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) ordering a flower arrangement with the “wow factor” to match the woman it’s being delivered to.

When Lauren seeks answers about Jack’s new woman, he’ll admit he’s giving things another shot with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

Although Lauren will be surprised, she’ll acknowledge that she gave Sally a second chance that worked out well.

Lauren will talk about how Sally’s shining in her new job at JCV – so much so that Lauren might make Sally’s acting role as the head of the company permanent.

Lauren will also point out that Jack’s wearing his portion of the teardrop of love. She’ll hint that it might be working its magic, but Jack will insist he’s just finding his footing again with Sally.

Lauren will guess that maybe the gem represents familial love for Jack since his grandson has entered his life.

Jack will acknowledge that Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) has been a wonderful family addition. For Jack, he’ll contend that the teardrop of love is mostly about hope – and that’s something he’ll have plenty of.

At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will delete the text she sent from Sally’s end of the phone conversation.

Phyllis will stealthily slide the phone under a folder and urge Sally to put all the erroneous charge info in there. Phyllis will assure Sally that she’ll only be paying for what she’s responsible for – that’s a promise!

At the Abbott mansion, Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will complain to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi).

After Tara argues that Ashland is weaponizing the truth about his illness, she’ll think maybe she should tell Harrison the truth with Kyle by her side.

Kyle will worry that’d just make Ashland angrier. He’ll feel like Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) advice was the right call and won’t see the rush on telling Harrison anyway.

Kyle will notice that Tara still seems tense, so she’ll claim it’s because her whole life’s been turned upside down.

Tara will feel like it’s just one thing after another and won’t see any peace for their little boy in the near future. Kyle will offer reassurance, but Tara will claim she wants to take a drive and spend some time alone.

After Tara leaves, Jack will come home and get updates on Kyle’s recent confrontation with Phyllis.

Kyle will mention that Phyllis thinks Tara and Sally are co-conspirators, so Jack will worry that Kyle’s actually buying the theory.

Although Kyle let Phyllis get in his head earlier, he’ll assure Jack that he’s now dismissed the possibility.

Kyle will suggest that for Tara to be working on this elaborate plot on top of everything else is a ridiculous notion. Jack won’t think Tara’s capable of being that devious, and Kyle will agree.

However, Kyle won’t be as sure about Sally. Jack will protest that Sally’s honestly trying to change, but Kyle won’t feel like that’s necessarily the same as succeeding.

After Kyle insists he doesn’t want Jack to get hurt again, Jack will admit he’s going into this with his eyes wide open.

Back at the hotel, Tara will find Sally and claim she wants to talk about potentially collaborating with JCV on her shoe line.

Tara will suggest taking the conversation to Sally’s suite, so they’ll board the elevator. Phyllis will watch the sound-less security camera footage on a computer in the meantime.

Once the elevator doors shut, Tara will fly into a rage and push Sally to tell her what happened.

Tara will think Sally was out of her mind sending such an incriminating text. Tara will feel like it’d be proof of their collusion if anyone saw it.

Sally won’t know what the heck Tara’s talking about, so Tara will show Sally the text on her phone. Sally will check her own phone and realize there’s no record of it.

After it dawns on Sally that “conniving bitch” Phyllis is to blame, she’ll send Tara up to her suite while she handles this.

Sally will confront Phyllis about her bogus bill charade and for sending that twisted text. She’ll insist it was an invasion of privacy and will point out that she could press charges for identity theft.

Phyllis will play dumb, but she’ll think Sally’s scared and must’ve had her buttons pushed.

“You come clean right now. You tell me what you and Tara did to my daughter,” Phyllis will snarl.

Meanwhile, Kyle and Jack will receive security cam footage that’s timestamped within the last hour. They’ll be taken aback when they realize Sally and Tara are arguing about something on their phones.

Tara will be pacing in Sally’s suite when Kyle texts her to come home.

Kyle will insist that they need to talk, but he’ll wonder to Jack if they’re jumping to conclusions. Jack will hope so, but he’ll feel like that video warrants a conversation and a push for answers.

At Crimson Lights, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will tell Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) that she’s still worried about Mariah.

Abby will hope that Mariah comes back before her doctor’s appointment as promised and is in a good place by then.

Abby will vow not to hover this time before talk turns to Chance Chancellor’s (last played by Donny Boaz) long absence. Devon will assure Abby that he’s there for her along with the rest of her support system.

Devon will fill Abby in on how happy he is with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), who’s been supportive of his role in Baby Chancellor from day one.

The discussion will shift to Stitch, who’s moving back to Genoa City to take a job at Memorial. Abby will suggest they’ve both moved on, so it’s like hanging out with an old friend now.

Abby will admit that maybe she reminds Stitch of a good time in his life before Max Rayburn’s (Jared Breeze) illness, but she’ll insist there’s nothing more to it than that.

Abby will be happy Stitch is getting a chance at this new chapter. Besides, she won’t see how Stitch could turn down a job like Chief of Surgery.

Meanwhile, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will offer plenty of buildup until he reveals his big news to Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarps) – that he’s the new chief of surgery at Memorial.

Obviously, that suggests Stitch is lying, so we have to wonder what else he’s lying about!

In a comfortable windowless room, Mariah will wake up startled. She’ll wish the “kiddo” good morning and try to keep herself calm for the baby’s sake. Mariah will eventually talk over to the locked door, where she’ll push her captor to let her out.

Mariah will realize it’s no use and will tell the baby how she’s tried everything to get out of there, but whoever’s holding them is offering the silent treatment.

Mariah will assure the baby that she’ll find a way to get him back to his mom safe and sound. Suddenly, Mariah will hear the dumbwaiter moving and will suggest it’s right on time.

After pulling out a tray of food and some prenatal vitamins, she’ll contend that they have everything they need but an answer.

Mariah will tell herself not to panic and will promise the baby that they’ll get through this together.

As Mariah bangs on the dumbwaiter door, she’ll shout questions to her captor. “Who are you?! What do you want from us?! Just tell us what you want!” Mariah will exclaim in frustration.

At the Chancellor mansion, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will admit to Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) that she has enough of Mariah’s info and passwords to track her phone.

Tessa will know Nina and Abby are against the idea, but she won’t be able to sit around and do nothing.

Nina will understand that Tessa has to do what feels right as Mariah’s partner. Tessa will admit that she asked for a clue and got no reply back, so she’ll feel like something is genuinely wrong.

After Tessa turns the app on to track Mariah’s phone, it’ll eventually notify her that the phone’s location has been completely blocked. Tessa will look unsettled as she wonders what that means.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tessa will take drastic action to find Mariah soon, so stay tuned.
