The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that the preview for the week of November 8 teases Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) downward spiral. Abby can’t cope with losing Chance Chancellor (formerly Donny Boaz) and spirals into a deep depression. Abby turns to drugs and is seen passed out on the couch with a bottle of pills beside her.
Chance Gone – Reality Sets In
Y&R spoilers reveal that there are several stages of grief and Abby is only in the first one: denial. However, the weekly preview shows that Abby will be forced to face the harsh reality of life without Chance.
Everyone is telling Abby that there is no possible way that Chance could have survived the blast. Even though Abby planned on traveling to Spain to find answers, it doesn’t appear that she will be allowed to go.
In the preview, Abby says that she needs to “get it together” as she has to take care of Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor.
Y&R Spoilers: Abby’s Descent Into Despair
Even though Abby tries to keep a level head for her son, that is easier said than done. Everyone is worrying about Abby even more than before.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) asks Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) how Abby is doing.
Devon gets honest and admits that Abby is not coping well at all. Ordway did warn fans that Abby’s situation would get worse before it gets better.
Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor Can’t Cope
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) asked Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to prescribe Abby a low-dose anti-anxiety medication.
At first, Abby resisted taking the pills. In the preview for the week of November 8, Abby opens the bottle of meds and carefully looks at one of the tablets. Not knowing what else to do, Abby swallows the pill.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abby On Drugs and Passed Out
By the end of the preview clip, Abby silently lets the tears stream down her cheeks. The grieving widow slowly lays down on the couch and closes her eyes. On the coffee table in front of her sits the bottle of pills.
It is clear that Abby takes the medication, but is the grief just making her tired, or could she take too many pills? In any case, a passed out Abby is clearly in no shape to take care of baby Dominic.
