The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we’ve got a scorching Y&R summer preview for you, so be prepared for some forbidden desires, dirty tricks, dangerous attacks and more. Let’s talk about what’s coming up in Genoa City and how it’ll affect the canvas.
For starters, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will work hard to bond with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) and step up as a good father.
Harrison’s true paternity will infuriate Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and further provoke his wrath against the Abbotts, but Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) won’t just sit back and take it!
Jack will do whatever he can to protect Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Jabot and anything else Ashland might try to target.
We’ll see Summer Newman (Hunter King) struggle over the adjustments she’ll have to make in her relationship to Kyle – and Ashland will take full advantage of that weak spot.
Since Summer will be so distracted, she’ll completely miss the next trick Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has in store for her. In the meantime, Ashland will develop both a working relationship with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) as well as a private one.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will grow closer to Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) kids, so something tells us that won’t go over well with Victoria. As for Billy, he’ll feel his bad impulses trying to take over again and will have a hard time reining them in.
That’s especially true since Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be fighting hard to take Billy down.
However, that takedown plot will come with a bit of a disagreement for Adam and Victor. They won’t be on the same page about the best way to go after Billy, but they’ll remain on better terms – which will actually please Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Nikki will recognize that it brings great joy to Victor when he’s feeling close to Adam, but she’ll make it clear that Adam had better not betray his father.
Speaking of betrayals, there are obviously some that have gone down within Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) own family. As Mishael Morgan reclaims the role, Amanda will work to uncover more secrets – and she’ll have some help.
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and a private investigator will become crucial parts of Amanda’s journey to the truth. Amanda will want to solve the mystery of who killed Richard Nealon and hopefully score some proof, but there’ll be some complications along the way.
As for Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), she’ll remain drawn to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and may hold out hope that a romantic reunion is still possible.
However, it turns out Elena’s going to have some competition for Nate’s heart since Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will develop a new attraction to the handsome doc.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) manipulation will continue as she keeps up her act and tries to fool Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
Rey will try to stay on guard since he won’t be fully convinced Chelsea’s mental breakdown was real, but Chelsea will hope to pull him closer anyway.
As for Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), she’ll be concerned over Chelsea’s latest maneuver and how Rey might be affected. Sharon and Adam’s magnetic pull will remain, so we’ll see if that lingering connection causes more issues.
Back with Nikki, she’ll get a special birthday surprise thanks to Victor. Y&R spoilers say Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will also have to make more changes in her life as her pregnancy moves along.
Meanwhile, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) will get some assistance from Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) as they try to track Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz) down.
