Tonight’s episode begins three months later.
Walker is on a run with Trey and Liam. They talk about Micki being away. They see they have new neighbors. Walker has a flashback to his childhood with the neighbor’s barn on fire. They head back to the house for breakfast. The kids head to school.
Micki appears to be undercover. She helps a criminal get his car back that has drugs in it. Meanwhile, an old friend Gail pays Walker’s parents a visit. At the office, Walker meets the new DA. She is their old neighbor who has come back to town. Walker gets her up to speed on Micki’s whereabouts and the cases he is working on. She sees some conflict of interest with him and Micki working together. He questions their relationship since they were once neighbors who are now his neighbor again.
Micki checks in with the boss. He isn’t happy she hasn’t made a lot of progress and hasn’t been checking in. At school, a kid named Colton keys her car after they Argie over parking. August punches the kid. Later, they are all called into the office. Colton is the son of the new DA. The whole thing is awkward. They all agree the kids should all be punished.
At the bar, Walker comes in to see Liam and Gerri gossiping over thee new neighbor, The Davidsons. They were accusatory and rude. Just then, one of the Davidsons comes in with her husband. They all get into a fight. Liam punches the husband. Walker takes the wife outside and apologizes. He thinks their families need to meet again to make peace. After her dad died in the fire, a lot of resentment took place. She agrees.
Trey arrives at the bar. He tells Walker he went to see Micki. He confesses to Walker Micki is undercover to find the sniper from months ago because he was also out to kill Walker. At home, Liam’s mom yells him for fighting at the bar. He was just defending the family.
Walker secretly heads to see Micki. He lies to the boss. He comes in to find her in a home looking through papers. She doesn’t know it’s him and throws him on the floor. Someone else is coming. They take out one guy but learn he is one of their own. The boss told him to tail Walker. Another guy is coming. Micki tells them to split. Walker helps stage it so Micki looks like she is running from the Rangers.
Bonham is forced to call Gerri and tell the Davidsons at the bar they need to cancel. The family looks angry. Walker catches up with Micki. He has the guy in custody. Micki doesn’t care, she is staying on.
Stella ends up in detention with Colton. The patriarch of the Davidson’s pays Walker’s mom a visit while she gardens. She makes some backhanded comments about their family, chaos, and more.
Micki meets up with a big boss. Her boss and Walker hide in the background. A man who gets out with her boss is someone she knows and it appears they may have been together in the past.
