In tonight’s 7 Little Johnstons episode, the family is decorating outside and inside for Christmas. Emma kicks an outside blow-up ornament, irritating Amber. They all go inside and start to take out the ornaments. They discuss what Christmas means in the U.S. to their foreign exchange student Joose. They laugh about how some of the kids were almost injured cutting down trees and how Santa’s pictures went terrible. Jonah was also afraid of Santa and had to sleep
That night, Anna visits her parents. She invites them to a Christmas Party she is throwing on Saturday. They question her about a guy named Kyle she has been hanging out. They ask to see a picture of him and she says she only has a photo of him in her bed. Amber looks mortified. Anna shares that Kyle will not be coming to her party because he is hard headed.
Liz and Bryce go shopping for decorations for her apartment. Bryce has offered to help decorate. Liz cannot wait for them to be able to wake up on Christmas morning in their own home. They do have sleep overs and both their parents know and now approve.
Amber, Emma, Alex and Joose make a special traditional hot Finnish drink called Glogi. They add juices, apples, cinnamon and more. They all sit and drink. Joose says that it does taste close to what his dad makes at home. Trent asks Joose who his favorite is. Joose needs sometime to decide. They laugh.
Liz and Bryce decorate her apartment. She adds some deer to her decorations for Bryce. Soon he will be moving in now that he has his HVAC diploma and is working a full time job.
Everyone arrives at Anna’s that night for her party. She has invited a young child named Stetson whom she has become close with. His parents come to see Anna’s house for the first time. Jonah and his girlfriend sit in the couch bored. Jonah thinks this party is a big fail. Mainly it just family in attendance. More people start to arrive just when everyone looks bored.
Everyone starts to mingle and eat. They play a twerking game. The siblings now agree the party turned out well. Jonah thinks it turned out better than how it first started. Anna shares how she has met someone with her Aunt Heidi. She has an easier time talking to her aunt who tells her to take it slow.
It is Christmas Eve. The family gets together to take their annual pajama photo. Their one piece plaid onesies are a bit over sized but they make the best of it. The family then does their White Elephant Christmas Gift game. They pass out numbers.
Joose goes first and gets a sandwich maker. Its perfect for him since he makes a Finnish sandwich every morning. Alex gets sticks from the yard. This is a Finnish tradition for when you haven’t been very good. Liz gets a star named Big Daddy. Jonah gets a banana phone. Alex gets a shake weight while Anna gets a private spray bottle for road trips. Trent eyes their gifts since he can pick out of all of them to trade. They all get a good laugh over the gifts.
