Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will eventually have a showdown with violent TR Coates (William Christian), so Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) dad war will erupt. Abe may land in a situation where he has to prove love is stronger than blood. He must protect his daughter – and that’s still Lani no matter what her abusive biological father might claim.
Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) desperately wanted to keep Lani when she was born, but that just wasn’t possible.
The risk was too high since Lani’s bio dad was an extremely dangerous man. Paulina went along with the plan to let Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo) raise Lani since it made it easier to keep the truth under wraps.
Of course, DOOL fans know Lani mistakenly came to believe Abe was her true father, so she was devastated when the real story came to light.
Fortunately, Abe and Lani have made peace with the fact that there are no blood ties between them.
That doesn’t change how much Lani still adores Abe as her dad.
Abe made it clear that Lani would always be his daughter, so Days spoilers suggest he’ll step up and fight for her soon enough.
During the week of January 24-28, Lani will reflect on what Paulina told her about abusive Ray and how controlling he was.
Lani will want nothing to do with her cruel biological father and won’t feel the need to ever meet him.
After a movie producer named TR Coates blows into Salem making demands regarding Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) film, Paulina will fear the worst.
Paulina will get an unpleasant reminder of her past and grow terrified when Lani almost learns the truth.
That’s because TR used to go by Ray – and he’s the same horrible man Paulina warned Lani about.
TR aka Ray fathered Lani, but he was completely cut out of her world because he was such bad news.
Lani will meet TR when she stumbles upon his confrontation with Paulina, but it seems Paulina will keep Lani in the dark on their real connection for now.
Nevertheless, Paulina won’t be able to keep this secret quiet indefinitely. Abe may pick up on Paulina’s discomfort around TR soon and demand some answers.
TR is bound to seek answers as well, so he may insist on having a true relationship with Lani and his grandchildren.
Abe’s no doubt going to get territorial, especially if he feels Lani’s safety could be at risk.
This should set the stage for a fierce Days faceoff between Abe and TR.
Abe may argue that he’s willing to put his own life on the line to keep Lani safe – and that goes for Paulina, too.
Perhaps Abe will become a major enemy for TR and put this monster of the past on notice.
