Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Clyde Weston (James Read) could form a surprising alliance behind bars. Will this old foe reach out to the wrongfully convicted DiMera?
Clyde has committed too many crimes to count, so he certainly belongs in prison at this point.
Since we know Clyde’s still serving his time, there’s the potential for him to land in EJ’s path. Now that EJ has been found guilty, Days spoilers say he could score a sentence of eight to 10 years.
EJ obviously won’t spend that long locked up, but he does seem to be kicking off a new prison storyline.
As we’ve seen with other characters like Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), it’s very possible to have a big story going on at Statesville away from the rest of Salem.
Days spoilers say James Read is set to reprise his role as Clyde, so maybe DOOL will do a plot similar to what happened with Ben and Will Horton (Chandler Massey).
While Will and Ben were in prison together, they became surprising allies and even friends.
Ben strangled Will before Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (William Utay) serum brought him back to life, but Will got past that – especially since Ben wasn’t in his right mind at the time.
Will’s willingness to forgive brought a shocking friendship, so Days writers may give EJ a stunning alliance of his own.
Although Clyde wasn’t the one who pulled the deadly trigger, he was still responsible for the dispute that led to EJ being shot and killed.
EJ faced an extremely difficult road coming back from the dead, so letting bygones be bygones might prove difficult for him.
Even so, DOOL loves to do complicated partnerships like this, so we’re betting Clyde and EJ are going to become friends in their own weird sort of way.
Clyde may help EJ at Statesville or could even plot an escape with him depending on how things play out.
