Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Friday, September 23 Recap – Chad’s Revenge – Clyde’s Alibi Falls Apart – Eric Threatens to Quit

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, September 23, reveals that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) craved revenge while Clyde Weston’s (James Read) alibi fell apart. Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) also threatened to quit over Nicole Walker-Hernandez’s (Arianne Zucker) revelation, so here’s how all the DOOL drama went down.

In Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) hotel suite, she admitted to giving the judge the surveillance video showing Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) threat.

Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) was grateful for the help and assured Chloe of his love.

At the Salem PD on Friday’s Days episode, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) wondered if Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) could account for his whereabouts on the night of Sonny Kiriakis’ (Zach Tinker) stabbing and Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) murder.

Craig realized Rafe believed there could be some truth to Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) accusations and was appalled.

However, Craig vowed to have his secretary get back to Rafe about his alibi, so Rafe suggested the sooner, the better.

Outside the pub, Chad was stunned as he realized Clyde was the one wearing vanilla cologne.

Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo) asked if Chad was OK since he was as pale as a ghost, but Chad said he had somewhere to be and rushed off.

At the hospital, Clyde flashed to stabbing Sonny in the back and looked in the window of Sonny’s room.

Will Horton (Chandler Massey) caught Clyde and questioned what he was doing there, so Clyde mentioned his random drug test.

Clyde pointed out that Will had also done time behind bars, so Will mentioned how Clyde tried to shiv him before he shivved Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) instead.

Clyde argued that he turned his life around and was getting hitched at city hall today, so Will congratulated him.

After Clyde said Will must be glad the cops caught the attacker, he acted like it was a relief knowing scum like Leo was off the streets.

Later, Chad found Will and filled him in on Nancy’s vanilla cologne confirmation.

Once Chad insisted Clyde was the culprit, Will woke Sonny up and urged him to try remembering again.

Sonny thought back and recalled seeing Clyde’s reflection in a painting at the office.

After Sonny confirmed that Clyde stabbed him, Chad fumed over Clyde murdering Abigail, too.

Will revealed that Clyde was headed to city hall for his wedding.

Sonny and Will wondered what Chad was going to do, so he claimed he was going to tell the police everything – including where they could find Clyde.

In the town square, Clyde was all dressed up for his nuptials when he pricked his finger on his boutonniere and drew blood.

Back in Chloe’s suite, Nancy showed up to tell her daughter as well as Brady that she was getting married today.

Chloe didn’t understand the rush, but Nancy insisted it was happening and wanted them to be witnesses.

Craig arrived after being summoned, but he wasn’t in a very celebratory mood since he’d just been accused of murder.

After Craig explained, Nancy was outraged along with Chloe and Brady. That led to Nancy insisting that Craig had been wrongfully accused just like Clyde.

However, Nancy hoped Craig could put all his worries aside and help her celebrate, so he agreed to come.

Once Nancy left to get ready, Chloe urged Craig to help her stop this wedding.

At Basic Black on Friday’s Days episode, Jada Hunter (Elia Hunter) found Nicole and confessed she was looking for Eric due to their phone mix-up.

Nicole assumed it happened when they woke up in bed together this morning, so Jada called her out on the comment and didn’t get why Nicole was acting so competitive.

Jada also didn’t buy Nicole’s claims about rooting for her happiness with Eric and brought up the weird job offer confusion.

Nicole thought Jada was accusing her of being a liar, but Jada didn’t want to argue.

After Nicole tried to claim she was just being protective of Eric, Jada said it was insulting for her to act like Eric needed protection from her.

When Eric walked in, he realized things were tense. Jada swapped phones, gave Eric a peck and left for work, so Nicole explained that Jada called her out for lying to Rafe.

Once Nicole revealed why she initially offered Eric the job, he quit on the spot.

Eric didn’t want the job just to ease Nicole’s guilt, but she protested that they really did need a photographer she could trust.

Eric decided he would stay, but he wanted Nicole to be upfront with Rafe about them working together from now on.

Since Eric assumed Nicole lied to avoid telling Rafe about the sloppy joe dream, he thought that was silly.

Nicole confessed that she actually dreamed about sleeping with Eric instead.

In the interest of full disclosure, Eric revealed that he also lied – that his dream involving sleeping with Nicole, too.

After Eric and Nicole agreed they were just dreams, Eric left the room looking rattled. Nicole was also on edge and a bit emotional as Eric rushed out.

Back at the police station, Jada met up with Rafe and offered updates on Eric’s first day at Basic Black.

Rafe also admitted Leo might be innocent and wanted Jada to be a fresh pair of eyes on all the evidence.

Once Jada examined the surveillance footage of Clyde fishing on the docks, she realized the time stamp changed for a split second.

Jada could see a ghost of another number when she went frame by frame, so she showed Rafe as they realized Clyde didn’t have an alibi for Abigail’s murder night after all.

When Nancy ran into Clyde outside the Salem Inn, she worried it was bad luck for him to see her before the wedding.

Clyde assured Nancy that nothing would stop them from getting married and having a wonderful life together.

At the hospital again, Sonny worried Clyde might try to finish him off, but Will didn’t think so since the goal was to frame Leo, who was still in police custody.

Will also suggested that Chad was probably trying to convince the cops of Clyde’s guilt right now.

After vengeful Chad made his way in the DiMera mansion, he opened up the safe and pulled out a gun.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chad’s quest for vengeance will bring some shocking moments, so stay tuned to DOOL!
