Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) may throw Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) under the bus after some fingerprint evidence shifts the accused killer’s strategy. Leo will have to protect himself above all else, so let’s talk about his tight spot and what’s coming up on DOOL.
Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) saw Leo in the DiMera basement the same day Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) was murdered, but Leo’s hoping to wiggle out of this.
It’s not like a kid claiming he had a run-in with the tooth fairy is iron-clad proof of anything.
Unfortunately, Clyde Weston (James Read) is about to make some accusations of his own.
Leo’s going to land on the hot seat over Abigail’s stolen jewelry, but he’ll still hope his lawyer can help him stay out of prison.
Sloan (Jessica Michel) is a real shark of an attorney, so she’ll bolster Leo’s confidence by blasting Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and insisting there isn’t enough evidence to hold her client.
Leo will nearly walk out of the Salem PD, but that’s when new evidence will surface.
Days spoilers say Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) will search through the tunnels and hope they can find proof that Leo was indeed there.
A fork with Leo’s fingerprints on it will turn up, so that’ll obviously be from the breakfast tray Leo demanded.
At that point, the cops will have more to work with since there’ll be no denying that Leo was in the secret room.
This will prove Leo was lurking around just before Abigail was stabbed to death – and there are plenty of people in Salem who knew he was out for revenge.
In a moment of desperation, Leo will finally blurt out that he knows who Abigail’s killer is and can prove it.
Although Leo will assure the police of his own innocence, he’ll give them an interesting lead on someone else.
Of course, the person that makes the most sense here is Gwen. Leo has been trying to pry the truth out of Gwen for months and clearly remains suspicious of her.
The part about being able to prove it will be an exaggeration, but Leo will at least hope to prove Gwen was indeed at the DiMera mansion that night.
Anything that can get the suspicion off him will be a good thing in Leo’s book.
Gwen is a friend of Leo’s, but he may feel he has no choice but to throw her under the bus.
It’s possible Leo will come up with some other surprise suspect, but all signs point to Gwen at this point.
Days spoilers say Chad will corner Gwen for a heated confrontation during the week of August 15-19, so that should play out after Leo offers incriminating info.
Leo may steer the cops toward the Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) mask and force Gwen to face a new legal nightmare.
