Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) may kill Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) if drug hallucinations bring a deadly attack on Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) wife. Let’s consider some crucial clues since we know Abigail’s fatal exit is coming up.
Abigail is set to be viciously murdered – though there’s no official timeline on when that tragic departure will play out.
However, there have been some recent hints in the dialogue to suggest that Abigail might not make it off that island alive.
For starters, Kristen warned Abigail about the people who died trying to escape.
Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) also mentioned how he felt confident Abigail would at least be safe if Kristen had her.
Chad doesn’t think Kristen would resort to killing his wife.
We’re not inclined to think Kristen would murder Abigail either.
Days writers go out of their way to keep Kristen rather cartoonish and against lethal plots.
If Kristen were truly ruthless, all these island dwellers would be dead already! There’d be no reason for Kristen to have captives at all.
Let’s say DOOL sticks to that pattern and Kristen isn’t behind Abigail’s upcoming murder.
Let’s also consider the possibility that Abigail will die before she has a chance to flee the island.
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Stephen Nichols) certainly aren’t going to kill Abigail, so who does that leave?
It leaves Sarah, who’s clearly battling some mental issues – most likely as a result of being drugged.
When Sarah was held captive in the DiMera cellar, she got into a fierce faceoff with Kristen.
That led to a struggle – and as luck would have it – Kristen found a nearby syringe to inject Sarah with on the floor.
It was the same stuff that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) used to drug Abigail once upon a time.
Remember how Abigail hallucinated that Chad was Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) with a necktie?
Abigail also had other disturbing encounters – like when she saw menacing Orpheus (George DelHoyo) at the hospital or attacked Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) thinking she was Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus).
There were concerns about Abigail being a danger to herself and others because she didn’t know what was real or fake.
Since Sarah was given this same drug, it’s possible she won’t know what’s real or fake either. That’s particularly true since Sarah seems a bit off her rocker at this point.
Like Abigail, Sarah might hallucinate a threat and be filled with fear.
Drugged Abigail thought Chad was pre-redemption dangerous Ben, so Sarah might think Abigail is someone dangerous, too.
It’s easy to imagine Sarah killing Abigail if that’s the route the show chooses to take.
Of course, Days would have an equally easy out if they choose to reveal another villain was on the island later.
It could be a case where Sarah simply believes she’s guilty in the aftermath. Perhaps there’ll be a mystery that follows and proves Sarah innocent.
Then again, maybe the story will be Sarah’s grief over killing someone who was desperately trying to help her.
Regardless, this murder could be a complicated one that brings some story twists. As other Days news comes in, we’ll deliver updates.
