Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, July 28, teases that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will pay the price for his betrayal while grieving Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) makes her next move. Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will also play the waiting game until Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) can make a decision about her future, so here’s what viewers can expect.
First, Ava will have a hard time wrapping her head around Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) shocking death.
One minute Ava was getting engaged to Jake and the next he was dead from a gunshot wound!
This isn’t how Ava expected her next chapter to go, but she’ll just have to lean into this grief and deal with the loneliness ahead.
Of course, Ava is a tough cookie, so she’s not the kind of gal who’ll stay down in the dumps for long.
In fact, Ava may land in the position to capitalize on an opportunity soon enough. Now that Jake is dead, who will gain control of his DiMera shares?
It could be Ava if Jake perhaps left behind a will and specified that she should get them.
Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will approach someone to propose a surprising alliance – and it wouldn’t get more surprising than Gabi joining forces with Ava.
Although Gabi and Ava have clashed big time in the past, they might connect as they mourn Jake and strike a deal regarding the shares.
Whatever the case, Ava will make demands that catch Gabi off guard during the week of August 1-5, so a complex alliance could come before those.
Over with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), he’ll keep his eye on the prize and work toward regaining control of DiMera Enterprises.
EJ needs more shares to make that happen, so Days spoilers say he’ll deliver a harsh ultimatum to Chad.
DOOL fans know EJ recently threatened to send Chad and Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) to prison if they didn’t sign over their shares.
Since Chad apparently hasn’t signed yet, EJ may insist it’s time to decide whether he’s on board or headed to the slammer.
Chad will pay the price for betraying EJ, who was furious over his brother teaming up with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) to frame him.
Now Chad will be under pressure until he surrenders to EJ’s demands or finds some other way out, but it seems EJ isn’t going to let this go.
Other Days spoilers say Chanel will wrestle with whether she wants a life with Johnny or a life with Allie. Since Chanel loves both twins, she’ll go back and forth on which one to choose.
Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) can’t tell Chanel whether she belongs with Allie or Johnny, but she’ll offer some useful guidance and help Chanel follow her heart.
In the meantime, Johnny and Allie will be stuck playing the waiting game – though it won’t be long until Chanel’s ready to make her big announcement.
