Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 9, reveals that Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) panicked in premature labor – and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) vowed revenge after Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) cruelty.
In the town square on Thursday’s Days episode, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) explained why he had to tell Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) the kidnapper truth and worked to convince a skeptical Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) that his wife would stay quiet.
After a brief interaction with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) found Clyde Weston (James Read) working behind the bar of the pub. Clyde mentioned hearing about Lucas’ recent fight and suggested they had a common enemy in EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).
Once Clyde offered updates on EJ turning down a business proposition, he pointed out that EJ used to rant about Lucas being the real kidnapping culprit. Lucas acted like EJ was just protecting before Clyde presented the idea partnering with Lucas instead.
However, Lucas declined since he assumed this involved doing something illegal. Clyde left the door open in case Lucas changed his mind and suggested he could perhaps help him deal with his EJ problem.
Once Clyde left, Lucas seemed tempted by the booze on the bar. Kate walked in and immediately grew concerned as she confronted him.
Next on Thursday’s Days episode, Jan wanted to be Marlena’s best patient ever and promised her motives were about being a good mother to this baby.
Marlena explained how Jan would need to own up to her mistakes and empathize with the people she’d wronged. Jan was ready to put in the work, but the therapy session was derailed by Jan’s pregnancy pain.
After Jan cried out and feared she was in premature labor, Marlena worked to calm her down.
At the DiMera mansion, Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) picked up on a foreign presence that shouldn’t be there, so Abigail joked that maybe it was the tooth fairy and mentioned Thomas DiMera’s (Cary Christopher) claims.
Before Abigail could investigate the DiMera tunnels, Gwen called to request a meeting and said it was important. Abigail hung up on Gwen, but then she got curious and decided to pay her a visit after all.
Meanwhile, Belle Brady (Martha Madison) decided to have brunch with EJ, so they came down to find Susan trying to pick up tooth fairy vibes.
Susan wound up getting a vibe that something was brewing between EJ and Belle too, but she worried since they were both still married and EJ wasn’t over Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney).
After learning Belle was staying at the DiMera mansion, he marched over there to confront her. Shawn felt this was the reason for the legal separation and pushed Belle to admit she was sleeping with EJ.
Belle denied it before Shawn got called away to deal with Jan, who had seemingly gone into labor. Jan was terrified over the possibility of losing her baby, but Shawn rushed to her side at the hospital.
As for Belle, she seemed overwhelmed over Jan’s baby coming into the world and worried since it was too soon. EJ suggested there might be a silver lining and thought maybe the child wouldn’t survive.
At Statesville on Thursday’s DOOL episode, Gwen had a favor to ask of Abigail. Although Abigail scoffed, Gwen wanted her to give Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) a mug she’d made in art therapy for his birthday tomorrow.
Abigail eventually acted like she’d pass the mug along, but then she intentionally let it shatter on the floor. Gwen flew into a rage and said Abigail would pay for this – and afterward, Gwen made a troubling phone call. If Gwen couldn’t celebrate Jack’s birthday with him, then she insisted Abigail couldn’t either.
Once Abigail met back up with Chad, she filled him in on the mug incident and seemed amused over Gwen thinking she’d get payback.
