Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday, May 12 Recap – Gwen’s 5-Year Prison Stint, Says Goodbye to Xander – Sarah Asks to See Baby

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 12, reveals that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) prepared for a five-year prison stint and said goodbye to Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) also asked to see her baby, so here’s how all the DOOL action played out.

At the DiMera mansion, Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) caught Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) trying to sneak out of the house with a suitcase and got her to admit she was going on the lam.

Despite Tony’s attempts to talk Anna out of it, she insisted there was nothing he could do to stop her!

Meanwhile, Xander hugged Sarah since she seemed to be back to her old self.

Sarah got some updates on why she was in the hospital as Xander and Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) remained over the moon.

Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) needed to examine Sarah and run some tests, so Maggie took the opportunity to step away from the hospital and head to the DiMera mansion.

Just before Anna could make a run for it, Maggie showed up and acknowledged that Anna’s trial was set to happen soon.

Fortunately, Maggie was now willing to drop the charges.

Anna was relieved to learn Sarah was better after receiving the real antidote and that her injection would’ve worked if it hadn’t been for Gwen’s drug swap.

After Maggie left, Anna and Tony celebrated her freedom before taking a moment to pay their respects to the real Renee DuMonde (Philece Sampler) in the crypt.

Tony and Anna also found a pacifier, so they realized Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) must’ve brought Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) baby there at some point.

Back at the hospital on Thursday’s Days episode, Xander was thrilled as Sarah insisted he didn’t have to miss her anymore.

Sarah gave Xander a passionate kiss before he stepped out.

At the Salem PD, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) suggested her offer of escape help was the best Gwen could hope for.

After Ava left the number for a burner phone, she warned Gwen that the clock was ticking.

Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) then showed up to visit Gwen and admit he still cared about his daughter.

With that in mind, Jack had talked Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) into representing Gwen.

If Gwen was willing to plead guilty to the lesser charges, her sentence could potentially be knocked down to five years behind bars.

Gwen knew that meant she’d go to prison rather quickly and wasn’t thrilled about it, but Jack made a speech about her chance to make better choices.

After Gwen thanked Jack for his offer, Xander showed up with good news about Sarah’s recovery and was grateful for the antidote.

Gwen gave Xander back his engagement ring and thanked him for showing her that she was worthy of love.

Once Gwen said her goodbyes with Xander on Thursday’s Days episode, she called Ava to turn down her offer.

Gwen felt it was time to own up to her mistakes and try to head down a better path, so she was going with Jack’s suggestion instead.

Maggie made it back to the hospital, where Sarah complained about her hair and got her mom to give her a shorter cut.

Xander thought Sarah looked beautiful upon his own return, but he was thrown for a loop when Sarah wanted to see her baby.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sarah has a crushing blow in her future, so stay tuned for more DOOL drama.
