Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Wednesday, May 18, tease that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) will try to come up with a baby cover story for Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) while Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) delivers bad news to Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will also weave a tangled web with their lies, so here’s what DOOL fans can expect.
First, Sarah will be released from the hospital and grow more impatient about seeing her baby. Xander and Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) will have to decide how they’re going to handle this since Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton obviously isn’t alive.
Once Sarah comes home to the Kiriakis mansion, Days spoilers say Maggie and Xander will try to tell her the truth.
However, Xander will ultimately shift gears and insist “Mickey” is simply staying with Eric right now.
Speaking of Eric, he’ll pass along some updates that disappoint Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker).
That could involve Eric deciding to leave town again, but we know he’ll end up sticking around Salem instead.
Of course, there may be some other bad news that Eric shares, but the point is Nicole won’t be happy about what she hears.
Other Days spoilers say Xander will track Eric down in hopes of roping him into his “Mickey” cover story, which will soon involve a lie about Eric and “Mickey” being on a trip.
Eric will have to contemplate his next move while Sarah goes missing from the Kiriakis mansion and winds up on Nicole’s doorstep.
Sarah will assume Nicole is still romantically involved with Eric, so she’ll demand access to “Mickey.”
Lies will also become a bigger problem for Lani and Paulina across town.
DOOL viewers know Paulina is covering for Lani, who shot and killed TR Coates (William Christian).
Paulina is now facing serious legal charges, but she’ll be willing to take any punishment if it means keeping Lani out of trouble.
Nevertheless, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) already suspects Paulina may be hiding the truth and will drop some hints about that to Abe Carver (James Reynolds).
Despite Paulina and Lani’s deception, Abe will feel like he’s not getting all the facts.
It may not be long until Abe figures out Paulina is taking the fall for Lani – and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) could battle some suspicions of his own eventually.
