Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 4, reveals that Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) failed to block Clyde Weston (James Read) and Nancy Miller’s (Patrika Darbo) date – and Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) revealed his New York return. Here’s how all the DOOL action played out.
In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Nancy bumped into Clyde and was upset about him blowing her off.
Clyde insisted he had a good excuse and explained all the devil drama surrounding Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal).
Nancy didn’t believe Clyde at first, but he showed her a news story on his phone and left her alarmed.
After Nancy gave Clyde a hug, she agreed to keep him company over a meal at the pub.
Clyde and Nancy were eager to have this official date, but Chloe appeared and insisted it’d happen over her dead body!
Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) was also on hand as Chloe objected to Nancy’s new romance, but Nancy believed Clyde had changed and wanted to be in charge of her own happiness.
While Nancy and Clyde headed to the pub to enjoy themselves, Chloe voiced her concerns to Brady and got his support.
Although Clyde gave Nancy a chance to back out of their romance now because of Chloe’s feelings toward him, Nancy stood her ground on doing what she wanted.
In Craig’s hotel suite, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) talked about all the little things about their relationship that made their love real.
Leo pointed out that he signed the prenup and was truly in this for love in the end.
Although Craig believed Leo, he couldn’t trust him and refused to start over.
Craig revealed that Leo’s things were packed up and waiting for him, but he wished Leo luck as they parted ways on a bittersweet note.
When Chloe showed up to console Craig, he admitted he’d cut Leo loose and was leaving Salem.
Craig didn’t feel right about taking Kayla Brady’s (Mary Beth Evans) job anyway, so he was heading back to New York.
Chloe embraced Craig as they said their goodbyes.
At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) flew into a rage over Leo’s scandalous article.
Chad wanted to sue Leo over it, but Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) pointed out that it was technically true – that Chad really did get Leo into bed with him.
Of course, that was part of Sonny’s takedown plan, so Chad ranted over the mess he’d gotten caught up in.
Later, Leo found Brady and Sonny in the town square, where he made it clear that they were revenge targets, too.
At the Salem PD, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) acted like Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) must’ve misheard her, but Abigail insisted Gwen claimed to have killed Laura Horton (Jaime Lyn Bauer) on purpose.
Gwen ultimately assured Abigail, Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) that Laura’s death really was an accident.
Gwen just wanted to hurt Abigail the way she’d been hurt after the derailed wedding.
In a moment alone with Gwen, Jack acknowledged that he’d always be her father.
However, Jack just didn’t see how they could be a family after all the drama that had gone down.
Abigail took another turn with Gwen and privately questioned her about Laura’s death.
Gwen liked the idea of making Abigail suffer, so she left her guessing whether Laura’s demise was an accident or murder.
