Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) may find incriminating murder evidence against Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). Will a horrific clue surface after Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) death?
We know that Xander and Sarah have an intriguing new storyline coming up that’ll complicate their romance, but it won’t have anything to do with their feelings for each other.
Instead, this Days story will be about the aftereffects of all the drug doses Sarah was given.
Sarah may seem fine now, but those drugs have taken more of a toll than she realizes.
Abigail hallucinated in her own experience with the same drug, so it’s possible Sarah will do the same.
Of course, this could also be a situation where Sarah sleepwalks or takes on an alternate personality.
Sarah is fully Sarah in her waking hours, but she could revert to “Renee DuMonde” while she’s asleep.
There’s a chance Sarah could even take on another identity – like become a version of vengeful Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) or something along those lines.
Regardless, Days fans haven’t seen any signs of the aftereffects that were mentioned in summer preview spoilers yet.
The first hint that they’re happening could come following Abigail’s murder.
It seems obvious that Sarah’s going to become a murder suspect along with Gwen, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo).
DOOL writers want to turn this into a real whodunit, so there’ll be several killer candidates – even if the motives are rather flimsy in some cases.
As for Sarah, it makes sense that Xander might discover a clue that points to her as the murderer.
It’s easy to imagine Xander stumbling across some piece of evidence in their hotel suite and freaking out over the possibility that Sarah killed Abigail.
That could lead to Xander getting rid of the evidence and any other clues that surface along the way.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Xander finds what he believes is the murder weapon and tries to dispose of it quietly.
Now that Xander has Sarah back, he’ll do everything in his power to stay together. If that means resorting to a shocking cover-up, then so be it!
However, the truth is always complicated when it comes to DOOL murder mysteries, so things may not be quite as they seem.
