General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) may pick a fake mom for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Will Carly arrange a phony DNA match that points to a better option than Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)?
GH fans will recall how Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) pulled off a similar strategy for a very different reason.
Since Valentin failed to find a biological child for Nina, he made one up to ensure her happiness.
That led to Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) posing as Nina’s bio daughter when she first came to town, but the move blew up in Valentin’s face once the truth came out.
Sasha was exposed as a fraud, but could Nina get duped again in a different way?
It’s possible now that Carly has joined Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) search for Willow’s birth parents.
Carly will undoubtedly sabotage Drew’s efforts to make sure he doesn’t get too close to the real story.
Since Carly doesn’t realize Willow is looking for a bone marrow donor match, she doesn’t know the situation is dire.
With that in mind, Carly might decide Willow deserves a lovely birth mom – someone far better than Nina.
What’s to stop Carly from arranging a fake DNA match and giving Willow the mother of her dreams?
Of course, it might be a bit extreme for Carly to hire someone to play the part like Valentin did with Sasha the bogus daughter, though we honestly wouldn’t put it past her!
However, let’s say that Carly sabotages any Nina-related evidence and leaves Drew with proof that points elsewhere.
Perhaps Drew will stumble across some potential mother candidate that seems amazing – some loving mom who was separated from her baby through no fault of her own.
Carly already lied about one set of DNA results, so maybe she could alter the next set and “prove” Willow’s birth mother is someone else searching for her child.
That might leave Carly thinking this is a happy ending where a mother and daughter are reunited, even if they’re not really related at all.
Carly may not see the harm and would love the idea of eliminating Nina as an option.
Naturally, Willow could then reveal the real point of this search, which is to hopefully find a bone marrow donor.
Carly may land in an even tighter spot if she offers up a fake birth mother who’s most likely not going to be a match.
Will Carly double down on her deception by steering Drew toward a phony mom candidate?
Will Carly essentially pick a better mom for Willow and hope to give her someone besides Nina?
