General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will eventually react to Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) leukemia news, so she’ll land in a situation where she must decide if Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) daughter truth should be exposed.
GH fans know Willow’s bone marrow biopsy results are still pending, so she isn’t ready to divulge anything to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) or anyone else.
Part of Willow is clinging to hope that maybe this is a false alarm.
Willow doesn’t want to dampen the joy Michael’s feeling due to her pregnancy, but he can already tell something’s off with her.
Michael wouldn’t want Willow to be going through a scary ordeal like this alone, but she’ll continue to keep this secret for as long as she can.
During the week of August 15-19, Willow’s going to get some crushing updates.
It sounds like the biopsy results will finally come in and leave no room for doubt that Willow has leukemia.
From there, Willow will open up to TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) about what she’s up against and try to find the right words to tell Michael.
TJ may assure Willow of Michael’s love and insist the burden will be much easier to carry with the support of a partner.
Once Michael is in the loop, he’ll definitely provide comfort and guidance.
Michael and Willow may choose to keep this leukemia diagnosis to themselves for a while, but Carly is awfully nosy and relentless when it comes to her children’s lives.
It’s just a matter of time until Carly gets curious and pries the truth out of Michael.
Willow might even come clean to Carly herself, but the point is Carly’s going to learn some information that could change the game.
Of course, we should also point out that GH writers are about to intensify Carly and Nina’s feud.
In fact, Nina and Carly will get into a physical fight on August 17, so there’s no sign of peace happening between these rivals anytime soon.
That intensifying rivalry could play a role in what Carly decides to do next.
There might be some small piece of Carly that feels like Nina should know her biological daughter is seriously ill.
However, Carly might also tell herself the truth would just upset Willow and make her problems even worse.
We might see Carly delay the mother-daughter revelation – at least until it’s absolutely necessary to confess what she knows.
If it comes down to Willow struggling to find a bone marrow match and desperately needing to explore all available options, that could force Carly to spill.
