GH fans know Carly and Drew have been spending a lot of time together lately.
Drew has been sliding in Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) old spot as Carly’s top confidant.
Of course, Drew and Carly’s growing connection recently led to them nearly kissing – though Carly ended up shutting things down.
Carly felt like they were both vulnerable and thought it was too complicated since Drew is Jason’s brother.
However, it’s clear that Carly and Drew are drawn to each other.
Drew will continue to be there for Carly, who’ll support him as he deals with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) moving on, too.
There’s definitely the potential for temptation to grow between Carly and Drew.
That’s especially true if Carly’s divorce moves full-speed ahead.
Why shouldn’t Carly have the opportunity to land in bed with someone since Sonny was so quick to land in bed with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)?
Unfortunately, Drew is about the worst person Carly could pick at the moment.
Sonny felt betrayed when he found out Carly and Jason’s marriage became real.
Sonny’s been throwing Carly’s feelings for Jason in her face and recently chewed Drew out for being a knockoff version of his twin.
Sonny was off his meds when the Drew blasting happened, but it still fits with the story.
Perhaps the writers have been laying the groundwork for Carly and Drew to sizzle – leaving Sonny livid over Carly moving on with Jason’s brother.
Sonny is a possessive guy, so he won’t like watching Carly move on.
Even if Carly and Sonny are officially divorced, you can bet he’ll be jealous and invested in her love life.
Carly may be free to get together with anyone she likes, including Drew.
That doesn’t mean Sonny will stand for it if he perhaps witnesses a passionate moment or finds out another way.
Sonny’s fury will erupt big time if he realizes Carly and Drew are too close for comfort!
