General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) are about to land in a magical love bubble. It looks like Jacksonville is the new Nixon Falls, so here’s what viewers can expect.
Carly was already going through a life crisis, but her return to Jacksonville brought even more of one.
Fortunately, the show has suddenly given Carly a new sense of purpose – something to fight for and something that truly matters to her.
Carly’s adoptive mother was named Virginia Benson (Lois Nettleton) and has a grave at the cemetery in Carly’s old hometown.
Now that Carly knows that cemetery is about to be shut down for a new parkway with better beach access, she’s absolutely livid.
Carly doesn’t want her adoptive mom’s grave to be disturbed, especially sine Peyton aka Mrs. Wade Honeycutt (Linda Purl) and her beloved Jacksonville Beautification Guild played a role in all this.
Since Carly has ditched Aruba and intends on sticking around to fight back, she should still be in Jacksonville when Drew arrives.
Carly is set to get a stunning visit during the week of September 26-30, so that may be Drew who comes along to surprise her.
We’ll definitely see Drew serve as an ally to Carly, so it sounds like he’ll join her fight against this parkway.
Win or lose, Carly’s going to grow closer to Drew, which will be a victory on its own.
Jacksonville seems to be like a new spin on Nixon Falls in a way.
It’ll be a story that’s completely separate from all the Port Charles chaos – something simpler and meant to facilitate a romance.
“Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) fell hard for each other while they were living in their little Nixon Falls bubble.
This time together in Jacksonville may have a similar effect for Drew and Carly, who’ll have privacy and some real chances to talk.
By the time Carly and Drew finally head home to PC, they’ll likely be a solid couple.
