General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, February 18, tease that Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) escape plan will stun Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) while Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) suspects retaliation. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will also get a new lead, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
At GH, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will eavesdrop on a conversation and try to put a stop to something.
Perhaps Britt will overhear Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) planning to put herself in danger through the Peter search and insist it’s not happening.
“Try it and I will harpoon you,” Britt warns in Friday’s preview video.
That’s a nod to when Britt accidentally injured her mom during her attempt to rescue Liesl with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Britt certainly doesn’t want a repeat of her mom going missing or getting wounded, so she may warn Liesl not to do anything crazy.
Later, Sam will talk to Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) about Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and the confrontation Austin heard through the planted bug.
They’ll compare notes as they try to get a grip on the Victor situation – and Liesl will ultimately join their strategy session as well.
Next, it looks like Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will tell Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) that they should keep Victor close.
Ava will hope that if they play along, Victor will reveal his agenda in time.
However, Victor will come along and interrupt Ava’s discussion with Nikolas eventually.
Victor will apparently wonder if they’re villainizing him like everyone else and planning to retaliate.
Ava and Nikolas will probably keep the peace with Victor since it’s the best tactic at the moment.
As for Victor’s agenda, GH fans know he needs a new way to track down the location of a long-buried Cassadine secret – the key to his life’s work.
Peter lied about which tarot card to activate Drew with, so now Victor has to explore other options. He was hoping to score the location through Drew’s blocked memories, but it seems he’ll need to be more creative.
Meanwhile, Anna will take the lead on the search for Peter thanks to Maxie’s earring clue in Switzerland.
Drew and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will help Anna, who’ll get some new info and feel like maybe Peter’s telling them where he’s going in his own words.
As the Peter hunt heats up, he’ll be busy throwing Maxie a curveball.
Peter will talk about having an escape plan all set, so Maxie may worry he’ll want to dash off to another hideout at the first sign of trouble – leaving Anna at a serious disadvantage.
At Spring Ridge, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will check in with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and see how he’s holding up.
Spencer will make an admission of some sort, so Laura will insist that’s what she was afraid of.
This could involve Spencer’s continued idolization of Victor or perhaps some hints about the cabin disaster that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) caused.
Whatever the case, Laura will offer some words of wisdom as Spencer remains stuck behind bars.
Finally, a heatwave will strike, which is obviously weird considering it’s usually quite cold in New York this time of year.
This could tie in with Victor’s grand plan and bring back some version of the weather machine plot from decades ago.
