General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, January 21 Recap – Helena Cassadine Crashes Luke’s Memorial – Sonny’s Bar Brawl

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, January 21, reveals that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) crashed Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) memorial from the grave – and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had a bar brawl with some enemies at Charlie’s Pub.

At Kelly’s on Friday’s GH episode, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) opened up to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about the loss of Luke.

Bobbie got choked up over not being able to call her brother for help anymore, but Carly insisted Bobbie could rely on her and her other loved ones.

As for Carly’s marriage, she wasn’t sure there was one to save at this point. Carly felt like Sonny was a different man now, so she struggled to trust in his love.

Since Sonny couldn’t kick Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to the curb, Carly declared it was a deal-breaker for her.

On The Haunted Star, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was glad to see some friendly faces arriving for Luke’s memorial.

Laura wasn’t, however, happy to see Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), who didn’t think it was very poetic for a guy like Luke to die in some random accident.

Laura wanted Victor to leave and take his Doberman bodyguard with him, but Victor argued that the bodyguard was for all of them. He pointed out that Luke had a lot of enemies that were still alive.

Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) reminded Victor that a gentleman leaves when he’s asked to, so Victor decided Spencer was right.

As Victor prepared to exit with his bodyguard, he told Laura to give Luke his best.

Laura fired back that hopefully Victor could tell Luke himself in person – the sooner, the better!

At Charlie’s Pub, Sonny had a shot in memory of Luke and talked to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about how Nina wasn’t the problem.

Dante disagreed and thought Carly needed to know things were over between Sonny and Nina.

Sonny wondered how he could prove that to Carly and didn’t want to lose any more time with his wife.

When Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) came in with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), Scott mentioned not getting an invitation and added that he’d have to crash the memorial.

Scott was going to need a couple cocktails to get through this since he hated Luke. He got in Sonny’s face to hurl insults, so Sonny didn’t appreciate that.

After Dante left, the conflict escalated to the point that Sonny took his coat off along with Scott.

Robert and Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) tried to stop the fight that was brewing, but Victor came in and caused more drama.

In the end, Sonny and Scott decided they hated Victor even more than each other, so that led to a major bar brawl that Robert got caught up in, too.

Later, Sonny met up with Carly on the pier, so she noticed his hurt hand and thought he should get it checked out.

There was some awkwardness, but Sonny explained how he joined forces with Scott against Victor.

Back on The Haunted Star, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) shared some surprisingly sweet moments with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Ellot) on the deck.

Alexis admitted why she gave Tracy a pass with the criminal charges.

It was for Luke and Alexis herself – though Alexis also did it for Tracy since everyone deserves a second chance.

Next, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) pushed a bickering Spencer and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) to put their differences aside for one night.

Dante also joined Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) just before they heard a strange noise.

When the gang went to investigate, a flash drive mysteriously showed up with a note that said to play it.

Once all the memorial guests gathered, they played the video and saw Helena Cassadine on the big screen.

“Hi, we meet again,” Helena said gleefully. She added that if they were seeing this, that meant she went first and now Luke had finally done the world a favor by following her into the great beyond.

Helena gloated over stealing the last word and insulted Luke for being cheap and tawdry, even though he fancied himself a diamond in the rough.

Helena talked about how Luke was desperate to lose and mentioned how things turned out in the end, but Laura pulled the plug on the video – leaving everyone grateful.

Tracy made a speech about how Luke brought out the best and worst in all of them. She felt each of them was forever changed by Luke.

When Tracy spread Luke’s ashes over the side of the ship railing, they humorously wound up flying over and hitting Scott on the pier.

Tracy ultimately approached Laura with “The Ice Princess” in a jewelry box, but Laura turned her away. Spencer wished he could at least see it, but Laura felt no good could come of it.

Soon after, a woman appeared with her face covered. When this mystery woman unveiled herself, Laura was shocked to see it was Jennifer Smith.

Outside on the deck again, Sonny found Carly wondering if Luke was out there. He moved in close and touched Carly’s hand tenderly.

Back with Victor, he made an ominous comment about how the people of this fair city were in for a big surprise.

General Hospital spoilers say Victor will unleash more chaos soon, so stay tuned.
