General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, January 21, teases that Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will decide to become a party crasher, though Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) memorial service will be more somber than festive. Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will also dish out some fake sympathy while Port Charles delivers their official goodbye to Luke, so here’s what fans can expect.
As everyone prepares for Luke’s memorial on The Haunted Star, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will get quite a surprise.
Alexis Quartermaine (Nancy Lee Grahn) will extend another olive branch by being cordial and admitting she thinks everyone deserves a second chance – even Tracy.
Since Tracy will take the lead on speaking at the service, she’ll consider her words carefully and plan a speech that would hopefully make Luke proud.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will plan on making a speech as well and will get Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) friendly support at this gathering.
At Kelly’s, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) will reveal she’s finally come to terms with Luke’s passing, but she won’t want to give some dramatic spiel.
Bobbie will prefer to mourn quietly, but she’ll at least open up to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) ahead of Luke’s wake.
Carly will be there for Bobbie and lean on her mother when it comes to her own problems, too.
GH fans know Carly’s got a lot on her mind since Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) can’t shake his love for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Carly doesn’t appreciate the way Sonny keeps standing up for Nina and excusing her behavior. It’s making her feel like their marriage doesn’t come first for Sonny.
Carly needs to know she’s the one and only woman who truly matters to Sonny. Anything else is going to be a deal-breaker for “CarSon.”
As for Sonny, he’ll remain off lithium and teetering on the edge of an outburst.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will once again notice his father’s strange behavior and express concern over Sonny pressuring Carly.
Nevertheless, Sonny won’t think this separation is solving anything.
Sonny will want a reunion ASAP and may approach Carly about taking some reconciliation steps, but she’s just not ready to forgive and forget.
Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) will be invited to Luke’s memorial service along with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Scott will hint about having to “crash that thing,” so he could stir up a little drama like only Scotty can!
Next, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will lash out at Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), who’ll fire back at his son.
Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will feel like the Cassadine men are acting like children, so she’ll send them to their corners and hope they can call a truce until this wake is over.
Meanwhile, Victor will pretend to have sympathy for Luke’s loved ones. He’ll lay it on thick, but it’ll just be another one of his typical charades.
Victor was responsible for the cable car crash in Austria since he wanted Luke out of the way, but he’ll obviously keep that quiet.
General Hospital spoilers say there’ll be some surprise guests at Luke’s memorial, which should bring some flashbacks and fun nods to the past.
However, the show will also look to the future with some new clues.
A strange mystery will start to unravel involving plenty of characters, so look for Friday’s show to kick off this wild umbrella story.
