General Hospital Spoilers: GH Delays Production – What Shutdown News Means for On-Air Schedule

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that GH has delayed production, so let’s talk about what this shutdown news means for their on-air schedule. According to TVLine, ABC has pushed back the resumption of production on at least three primetime dramas along with General Hospital.

It was time for things to get up and running again following the holidays, but there’s been a pandemic-driven decision to stay cautious and wait a week longer.

Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19 and The Rookie are the primetime shows affected so far, but ABC’s last remaining soap opera was also affected by this news.

GH won’t resume production until the week of January 10-14, but no on-air schedule changes are expected if everything goes according to plan.

There’s always a chance other delays could happen, but the goal is to get everyone back to work and back to shooting fantastic episodes quickly.

Of course, we’ll keep you in the loop if we hear about any other production shutdowns, but it’s a good idea to stay positive and hope things work out.

Again, General Hospital is expected to resume production next week following their holiday break, so it’s just a short delay for now.

In the meantime, there’ll be plenty of great drama happening in Port Charles.

Now that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is awake and poses a major threat, he’ll continue to be the source of growing fears and intensifying conflict.

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will make protecting “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) her priority, but Peter’s vicious nature will always make him a dangerous wildcard!

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) also has a few more tricks up his sleeve, which is good since he’s basically promised a Cassadine crisis.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), Ava Jerome Cassadine and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will all be caught up in Victor’s mess, so don’t miss what’s in store.

We’ll deliver updates as other details come in. It sounds like some exciting scenes are ahead – and if everything proceeds as planned with this brief delay in production, then there’ll be no disruption of the ABC’s on-air schedule.
