General Hospital Winter Preview spoilers and updates tease there’ll be fireworks to start off the New Year. Head co-writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’ Connor also promise a story that will encompass the past, present and future of the show, heading towards the GH 60th anniversary in April.
General Hospital Spoilers: Danger Ahead For ‘Vanna’
Coming up for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine, (James Patrick Stuart) things don’t look so good as they look for Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).
They’ll continue to look for her all over the world, and at the same time have to evade their pursuers, but they won’t be kept down for long.
They’ve been running from danger the whole time they’ve been on the hunt; as for Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) he’ll continue to do whatever it takes as well.
They won’t give up on their lead on the location of Lucy even if it means their ultimate demise.
Convincing Lucy that it wasn’t Anna that shot her and bringing her back alive is crucial to Anna’s exoneration.
GH Spoilers: The Cassadine Triangle
As far as the “Cassadine triangle” goes, it may as well be the Bermuda Triangle for Nikolas Cassadine, (Marcus Coloma) Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
Nikolas and Elizabeth will be in some very deep trouble after Esmé jumped off the parapet into the icy waters below in a desperate bid for freedom.
As for Nikolas and Ava Cassadine, (Maura West) what is left of their love will likely receive a final death blow.
There is some considerable doubt by Elizabeth that Esmé and her baby could have survived the plunge into the icy harbor, although she obviously thought she could.
General Hospital Spoilers: House Of Cards Comes Down
As for Elizabeth’s relationship with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) he is left with many questions as to what really happened between her and Nikolas.
Finn will likely be the one responsible for his and Elizabeth’s house of cards coming down.
As for Elizabeth, she has had a lot happen over the past year that has been cumulative.
The magnitude of everything Elizabeth has been through and remembered will come into focus.
But it will be her and her alone who makes several big decisions with consequences not only for her, but for her family as well.
GH Spoilers: Victor Cassadine And The Ice Princess
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will have her hands full of family drama at the first of the year, but will continue to deal with other issues as well.
Never far from her mind is the fact that she and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) are in possession of the necklace with most of the Ice Princess.
They are very close to cracking the code and bringing down Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) for good and cancelling his plans for Port Charles and perhaps the world.
By spring, all of Port Charles will unite to take him down for good.
As for Robert’s personal life, his relationship with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will continue to grow.
General Hospital Spoilers: Secrets And Consequences
Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will continue their secret romance, but there may be dire consequences for both as she keeps secrets.
Carly knows full well who Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birth mother is, and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will continue on a collision course with Carly.
As for Willow, her need for bone marrow becomes crucial as a potential donor emerges.
Willow will continue to be on a roller coaster ride until she finds her family. It may be a little rocky if she is allowed to find out who her donor is, if Carly doesn’t prevent it.
GH Spoilers: The Corinthos Family War
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will keep up his war against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is in deeper and deeper with the don.
Michael and Dex will be in a place where they finally have enough evidence against Sonny to take him down for good, as he makes a major move in his business.
What Sonny doesn’t know seems poised to hurt him, as he has no idea that Michael is behind his contract with Pikeman Security group, a military weapons smuggler.
It’s a set up all around, with Sonny oblivious to what’s about to hit him.
General Hospital Spoilers: ‘Sprina’ Romance, Hook Reveal
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will continue to “fake date” to draw out the person who they think is the Hook.
It will become obvious to them eventually that it’s not Esmé as they fall in love in spite of themselves by pretending to.
As for the real Hook, the killer’s ultimate plan will take shape and another life will be taken.
The true identity of the Hook will be revealed soon. In the meantime, ‘Sprina’ could be putting themselves in danger.
GH Spoilers: Teenage Triangle
Even though Dex is a little older than a teenager, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) finds himself in a triangle with himself and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Josslyn and Dex are put in a very dangerous position because of external events, while Cameron becomes increasingly suspicious about their relationship.
The most recent episode of GH showed Josslyn on the docks with the Hook approaching, after she failed to connect with Cameron to break up with him.
General Hospital Spoilers: Twisted Trifecta
Heather Webber (Alley Mills) and Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) twisted and morbid little family unit will come into focus in the New Year.
The fate of their daughter, Esmé and grandchild should be a part of that focus as more details play out.
Heather will need to explain her actions during the first week of the New Year, while more questions about Esmé should begin to be answered.
Heather and Ryan may have more reason to carry out their plans to punish whoever hurt their daughter.
They may also be involved in a search to find her after her dive off the parapet at Wyndemere.
GH Spoilers: Sam McCall And Dante Falconeri
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) personal relationship will grow in the new year, as well as their working relationship.
He’ll open up to Sam in the first week of the new year as he fears Sonny has lost his way.
Dante worries that Sonny will pay a great price as the result, and will continue to probe Dex with questions about his stint in the freezer of Pozzulo’s.
Dante and Sam will also put their heads together and uncover part of the puzzle of the Hook.
General Hospital Spoilers: The Ashford-Robinson Family
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will be on the same side when Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) changes his mind about looking into his initial schizophrenia diagnosis.
Curtis and Portia plan their wedding for Valentine’s Day, but then Stella Henry (Vernée Watson) as usual, gets nosy.
She’ll start asking more questions about Curtis and Trina’s connection, which Portia had hoped to sweep under the rug.
Even though more than likely it’s true that Trina is actually Curtis’ daughter, she always told him she wasn’t.
Portia wants to let Trina keep relating to Marcus Taggart (Réal Andrews) as her father because of their father-daughter bond.

GH Spoilers: Maxie Jones’ Heartbreak, Austin Gatlin-Holt’s Danger
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will experience some heartbreak early in 2023, while Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) is licking his wounds over their breakup.
Austin believes it was for the best, but he will get drawn into someone else’s drama as well.
This other person’s drama will cause Austin to face danger and intrigue. The no longer couple may continue to remain friends, however even if they are no longer dating.
General Hospital Spoilers: The Davis Girls
There will continue to be drama with the Davis girls, as Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will keep secrets of many in Port Charles.
Her relationship with Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) will continue to blossom both professionally and personally.
As for her daughters, Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexie Ainsworth) will find themselves being drawn together but at the same time pushed apart.
It looks like the eldest, Sam, will be the only Davis girl with some stability in her life in 2023. She and Dante will continue getting closer.
GH Spoilers: Corbin Confusion, Corinthos Catastrophes
Just as Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) nears the end of her guardianship, which has been taken over by Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) she may face money troubles.
Gladys has reverted to her old ways, incurring gambling debts with Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and might resort to using Sasha’s funds to pay them.
Gladys may cause some Corinthos family catastrophes as well before it’s over with, soon seeking Sonny’s aid.
General Hospital Spoilers: Quartermaine Quandaries
As usual, the Quartermaines and their extended families will face quandaries in the new year with business secrets ready to come out, dividing Ned and Olivia Quartermaine (Wally Kurth, Lisa LoCicero).
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) remains broken up with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) but still connected.
Chase will be tested as a good guy when an opportunity comes to be reinstated at the PCPD while deciding whether to keep trying to take down Linc Brown (Dan Buran).
It sounds like that division between Ned and Olivia might be over Drew and Carly’s worries he’ll turn them in for insider trading. That would be something Olivia would disagree with.
GH Spoilers: Family Connections Sought
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) still seeks family connection deep down, in spite of lying about his paternity test with Mac Scorpio (John J. York).
However, he gets a second chance at family connections with Mac, if he can overcome his fear of coming clean.
Dante will continue to push his friend to get to know Mac better, and Mac continues to reach out to Cody as well.
It might be embarrassing, but Cody could always play dumb and approach it by saying he misread the DNA results report.
General Hospital Spoilers: Britt Westbourne And Liesl Obrecht
Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) decision to leave town and face her Huntington’s Disease alone or stay in Port Charles with family and friends has profound consequences.
She and those close to her will all face consequences that may cause her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to take extreme action.
During the first week of 2023, a tragic event involving the Hook happens, and Liesl takes matters into her own hands.
If something Hook related does indeed happen to Britt, Liesl may react in a manner similar to when Peter August (Wes Ramsey) killed Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). The first week of January will resolve these questions for viewers.
