General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Jake Webber (Hudson West) and Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang) may deliver a double haunting twist. Did this duo team up to spook Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst)? Let’s look at some crucial clues and determine if a secret partnership might be in play.
For starters, GH writers have brought back suspicions surrounding Jake despite Liz previously deciding it couldn’t possibly be him.
Liz thought she knew her boys awfully well, but she was shocked to learn from Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) that Jake resented her relationship with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).
That brings us to the card Liz received – the one she assumed was from Betsy since it was signed “B.”
Liz mentioned that card in her voicemail to Betsy, who was already in town and rushed right over to talk.
Since Betsy didn’t seem confused about the card, that suggests that she indeed sent it.
Of course, we also know Scott shut down any Jake suspicions in favor of making Betsy suspect number one.
Scott feels like this whole thing is Betsy’s MO – and the show obviously thought Betsy’s role in the story was important enough to bring Deborah Strang back for a return stint.
Perhaps the twist here is that Liz tormentor isn’t one person alone.
What if Betsy and Jake joined forces since they both disapproved of Liz’s romance with Finn?
That makes sense considering the card emphasized how they were “both” thinking of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) with the word underlined.
It was potentially a huge hint that two tormentors are working together.
There’s still a chance this could lead to the revelation that Liz has dissociative identity disorder, but we can’t rule out Jake and Betsy being partners in crime.
That’s especially true since Jake will face a grilling session, which indicates he may have something to spill eventually. We’ll provide updates as other GH news becomes available.
