General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will remain under an insane amount of pressure thanks to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and the mess he dragged her into.
To be fair, it was Elizabeth’s bright idea to make Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) believe she was pregnant with Nik’s child!
Liz has made a mess as well, but she feels like she has to live with the consequences now.
However, that could change as this storyline moves along.
Now that Elizabeth has made Ava Jerome (Maura West) believe she had a miscarriage, Finn may get the same phony version of events.
It’s easy to imagine Finn showing compassion despite how angry he is.
That’s the sort of thing that may remind Liz of Finn’s kind heart and make her regret her deception even more.
Can Elizabeth really stand there and let Finn comfort over a baby she never truly lost?
It could bring Liz’s breaking point and cause her to reveal the whole truth instead.
Although Nikolas is counting on Elizabeth to keep his secret, she may betray him and drop the pregnant Esme bomb on Finn.
Perhaps Finn will find out Liz helped Nik hold Esme hostage – only to discover Esme couldn’t possibly have been the “The Hook.”
There are good reasons to think Liz may indeed come clean. December 30 will bring Esme’s risky move as well as Liz’s stunning confession to Finn.
It seems likely Elizabeth will confess to Finn around the same time that Esme makes her getaway from Wyndemere.
That could lead to Finn deciding not to tell anyone about Liz’s criminal actions, especially for the sake of her boys.
It wouldn’t accomplish much with Esme back on the loose anyway.
Of course, Elizabeth might suggest she has no right to ask for forgiveness, but a small part of her might hold out hope for reconciliation.
Many GH fans would rather see Finn and Liz’s breakup stick since they’re arguably a dull, mismatched couple.
It’s possible Finn will decide too much has happened and push Liz away, even after she offers honest updates.
Still, it’d be nice for Finn to know Elizabeth didn’t cheat on him and was never pregnant with Nikolas’ baby.
That could at least put Liz and Finn back on the road to being friends again eventually.
