General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) parents will head to GH, so William Moses and Denise Crosby are joining the cast as Jeff and Carolyn Webber. SOD confirms that both Liz’s mom and dad will appear, so let’s talk about these exciting cast additions.
Richard Dean Anderson played Jeff from 1976-1981, but now Moses is stepping into Jeff’s shoes.
You might recognize Moses from his work on How to Get Away with Murder, Grey’s Anatomy, Homeland, Mad Men, Mystic Pizza and more.
It turns out William Moses has a brother named Rick Moses who played Hutch the hitman on GH back in 1980, so it’s fun that he has that little family tie to the show.
As for Denise Crosby, Bing Crosby’s paternal granddaughter, she’s had roles on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Ray Donovan, Suits, The Walking Dead and a variety of other projects.
Unlike the recast situation with Jeff, Crosby will be the first actress to play Carolyn Webber since she’s never been seen on the ABC soap before.
However, fans have certainly heard a lot about Jeff and Carolyn in recent months.
Liz was previously very much against having contact with her parents, but they may be the key to uncovering the mystery of her past.
If Elizabeth wants to find closure and understand her Reiko Finn (Mele Ihara) memories from the Mariana Islands, talking to Carolyn and Jeff may be essential.
Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean Jeff and Carolyn will be forthcoming at first.
It’s also possible Jeff knows more than Carolyn in this case, but Liz needs to reunite with her parents and get some answers either way.
Seeing Jeff and Carolyn again could be a powerful memory trigger for Liz, so it’ll be interesting to see where this story goes from here.
