General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, August 8 Recap – Willow Cries in Ava’s Arms – Esme Not Found at GH or in Morgue

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, August 8, reveals that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) cried in Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) arms – and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) wasn’t found at GH or in the morgue.

At the Metro Court, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) tried to persuade Jamika Pessoa to accept a chef position and make the restaurant even hotter.

Afterward, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) offered a Samurai steel knife as a gift and talked to Nina about her complicated Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) romance.

Nina was adamant about still wanting Sonny, but Obrecht worried about what would happen if he reunited with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

At Charlie’s Pub, Sonny congratulated Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) since Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) promoted her to manager.

Kristina still felt guilty for her role in Sonny’s marriage destruction since she suggested Carly wasn’t coming to The Haunted Star.

Sonny reassured Kristina as she reflected on how supportive he’d always been.

Kristina obviously wasn’t a fan of Nina, but she wanted to support Sonny as well and wished him happiness.

At the Metro Court Gardens, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) dodged questions about Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and quizzed Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) about Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) move-in offer.

Sam acted like it wasn’t a done deal yet and ran off to find Spinelli.

Meanwhile, Spinelli warned Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) not to go on another date with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and left her weirded out.

Cody interrupted and made it seem like Spinelli wanted Britt for himself, but Spinelli denied it.

After Spinelli and Cody left, Britt shut down the idea of Spinelli crushing on her.

Once Britt told Maxie and Sam about Brandy from Society Setups, they highly doubted she was a real person.

Elsewhere, Cody reminded Spinelli that he accessed all sorts of private accounts for Society Setups – not just accounts for people who signed up.

Spinelli was breaching systems and violating privacy, so Cody held that over him and warned he could come clean about Society Setups or make Britt believe he’s crushing.

In a parked vehicle, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) joined Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and offered updates on the jury tampering situation.

Although Dex thought this was the perfect opportunity to sink Sonny, Michael refused to do it at Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) expense.

Michael admitted Dex had earned a bonus, but he refused to tip off the authorities since he didn’t want to put Trina or Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) through a new trial.

That said, Michael felt there was a silver lining since Dex had proven himself to Sonny, but Dex suggested it hinged on the outcome of this trial.

Back at Charlie’s Pub, Dex wondered if Kristina had seen his boss, so she grew curious about who his boss was.

Once Dex recognized Sonny by the bar, Kristina realized he was her dad’s new hire.

Kristina made herself scarce while Dex told Sonny he wanted to do some digging and see where the jury stood.

Sonny noted that he had courthouse informants who told him the jury was still out.

Moments later, Nina entered and saw Sonny across the room.

Kristina was pleasant enough to Nina when she walked by, so Nina was taken aback.

Although Sonny noted that Phyllis wasn’t there, Nina was clearly glad to see Sonny instead.

At the hospital, Willow was on edge since her biopsy results were still pending.

Ava approached the nurses’ desk to mention a young woman going missing from Wyndemere and hoped Willow could offer info.

Willow said there was no record of a Jane Doe admitted last night, so Ava acted relieved that she wasn’t helpless at GH or in the morgue.

Although Willow offered to search a name, she got called away – leaving Ava to look at the computer screen herself.

Once Willow returned, Ava made a comment about how you never know when your number is up.

That left an upset Willow scurrying away, so Ava caught up with her and wondered if she was OK.

Willow blamed it on morning sickness and admitted she was pregnant, so Ava thought that was wonderful news.

After Willow admitted it was, she wound up crying in Ava’s arms.

Ava assumed Willow was emotional and scared due to the loss of her first baby.

That led to Ava reflecting on Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) death and expressing gratitude for every moment with Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

When Michael appeared, he could see that Willow had been crying.

Michael demanded to know what Ava did to her, but Willow explained that Ava actually helped.

Although Michael seemed confused over what was going on, Willow was determined to do what was best for her baby.

Back with Ava, she got a call from Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and revealed Esme hadn’t been brought to the hospital or morgue.

Unfortunately, that still meant Ava and Nikolas had no idea where Esme was now.

By the pool, Dante warned Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about dragging Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) into more trouble.

Nearby, Linc Brown (Dan Buran) acted like it wasn’t a good idea for Chase to mix business with pleasure and urged him to ditch Brook Lynn.

Soon after, Brook Lynn interrupted to suggest calling off the 30-day competition.

Linc felt like Brook Lynn’s feelings were driving her decisions and proving his point.

Once Linc walked off, Brook Lynn and Chase compared notes.

There were some close moments between them as Brook Lynn confirmed they couldn’t abandon their scheme now.

General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn and Chase could be biting off more than they can chew, so stay tuned!
