General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, January 10, tease that Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) sons will be suspects while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) reveals a secret to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will also spill to Laura Collins (Genie Francis), so here’s what GH fans can look forward to.
First, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) will open up to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) about her uncomfortable arrangement.
Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) made Trina a supervisor to Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) at the gallery, where Spencer will pay restitution to Ava through his work there.
Trina forgave Ava for springing this on her, but she’s still not thrilled about the idea.
After Trina relays the news to Portia, she’ll admit she saw the Ava that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) has been warning her about.
Of course, that seems like an overreaction under the circumstances. Ava has done far worse than making Trina the boss of Spencer, so this honestly isn’t that big of a deal.
Portia has grown to respect Ava on some level, so she may cut her some slack and suggest Ava truly wants to help Spencer make amends – which is true based on what Ava told Spencer.
Talk will eventually turn to Trina’s friends and her upcoming cabin getaway.
Trina will have a lot of thoughts to unpack, so Portia will be happy to hear all her questions, comments and concerns.
Meanwhile, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) will meet up with Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) and wonder why he can’t give Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) what he wants.
TJ will try to help Marshall understand why Curtis needs answers about his father’s past, so Marshall will take the advice to heart.
Later, it looks like Marshall will interrupt a passionate moment between Curtis and Portia.
Curtis may be a bit annoyed at first, but he’ll be more open to letting Marshall stick around when he realizes answers are indeed coming.
Speaking of answers, Carly will want some of those as well.
Sonny just wants to forget Nixon Falls, but Carly feels like she can’t move forward until she knows every last detail of what happened. Since Carly didn’t get anywhere with Sonny, she’ll try her luck with Nina instead.
Nina won’t appreciate the way Carly’s barging in and making demands, especially since she’s already running late for a meeting.
Nevertheless, Nina will stay for a showdown that’ll bring another shocking truth to light.
That could be related to Nina taking plastered Sonny back to his penthouse and the conversation she shared with him there.
Regardless, Nina will gloat over Sonny continuing to deceive Carly and may act like their marriage isn’t going to survive without trust.
Nina previously acted like she wanted Sonny and Carly to work things out, but now she’s holding out hope for her own chance if they separate.
Although Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) advised against pursuing any sort of relationship with Sonny, Nina’s going to do whatever she wants anyway.
As for Sonny, he’ll feel like he really screwed up this time. Sonny will sulk as he confides in Laura, who’ll offer some guidance and try to lift his spirits a bit.
Next, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) will tell someone she has a better idea, but it may be a worse one in reality!
Esme just picked up a high-dosage prescription at the hospital that she claims to know exactly what to do with.
Trouble is obviously brewing, but GH should save the real drama for the upcoming cabin trip.
Over with Liz, she’ll give Finn updates on her wedding ring discovery.
Liz was unsettled after finding that ring in her locker, so she’ll fill Finn in and wonder how it wound up there. The last time Liz saw the ring, it was in the kitchen drawer.
Based on Finn’s logic, he’ll assume that one of Liz’s sons has a problem with him – or more accurately, with him dating their mom.
That doesn’t sound like the right solution to this mystery, but Liz may want to chat with each of her boys and get to the bottom of things.
Across town, Liz will call off her first date with Finn. She might leave the door open to reschedule, but she’ll just be too uneasy to stick to their date night plans for now.
Finally, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will continue to steer Spencer down a risky road.
Victor will think Spencer needs to start living up to being a Cassadine heir – and that can’t mean anything good since this is Victor we’re talking about!
