General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, January 31 Update – Willow’s Paris Trip – Spencer’s Risky Esme Move – Sonny Sets Off Alarms

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, January 31, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will set off alarm bells while Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) gets a surprise Paris trip. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will also make a risky Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) move, so there’ll be some highs and lows happening in Port Charles.

At GH, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will listen as Sonny describes the grand gesture he has in mind for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

Sonny will want something so romantic that it’ll knock Carly’s socks off and leave her ready to reunite.

Ned will understand the impulse to impress Carly since he screwed up big time with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and scrambled to fix it.

Sonny will think he’s on the right track, but Ned will warn him to call off his plans and just focus on what Carly wants – which is time and space.

As for Carly, she’ll meet up with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and tear up over her bliss slipping away.

Carly thought she’d get another chance at a happy ending when Sonny returned from the “dead,” but nothing has gone the way she expected.

Michael has faced some tension in his own romance lately, but he’ll hope a getaway might help him bond with Willow again.

That’s why Michael will deliver a shocker and let Willow know he’s made all the arrangements for a trip to Paris.

Meanwhile, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will want to get a few things straight with his father. He won’t want Marshall thinking he can just vanish again, so he’ll warn against threatening to walk away.

Marshall may assure Curtis that he genuinely wants to stick around and bond.

However, it looks like Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) will call Marshall out once they’re alone. Stella won’t be happy about how Marshall is handling the situation, so she’ll dish out some stern advice.

Stella didn’t seem happy about Marshall letting Curtis believe he was in the witness protection program, so that may be something that comes up.

There’s also the matter of Marshall’s medical condition, which could be quite serious and potentially take him away from Curtis in the form of an early death.

Whatever the case, more Marshall secrets will be revealed down the road. Until then, Esme will keep some secrets of her own.

Esme will act appalled over Spencer thinking the worst of her – even though he’s right to believe Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) accusations.

Esme will act like she’s so disgusted that she doesn’t even want to go home with Spencer.

That might lead to the two of them separating for the evening – paving the way for Esme to head back to the cabin for a secret phone retrieval mission.

Esme carried out a very elaborate plan involving a hidden phone, which recorded Josslyn and Cameron Webber’s (William Lipton) first time in bed together.

There’ll surely be some strategy for Esme to get the steamy little flick she made.

Regardless, Spencer will ultimately have to take a gamble on his girlfriend.

Spencer will determine that Esme could be downright dangerous, but he’ll want to keep her close and monitor her behavior.

That means making amends at some point and trying to keep this relationship intact for now.

As for Josslyn, she’ll make sure Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) is OK after that boozy game of Never Have I Ever.

Trina won’t know why she was so out of it, especially since she didn’t even have that much alcohol.

Even so, Trina doesn’t normally drink, so Josslyn will think maybe the alcohol served as a bit of a truth serum.

Joss will hope Trina trusts her enough to be honest, so she’ll bring up her relationship with Cam and wonder how Trina really feels.

Trina may insist it’s not a big deal, but it’s true that she misses the good old days.

It was nice when Trina could just hang out with Cameron and Josslyn as friends. Now Trina feels like the third wheel – or the fifth wheel whenever Spencer and Esme are around.

Josslyn may want to make more of an effort to include Trina, but Trina will probably be embarrassed over this whole trip and just want to go home.

Trina may push Josslyn to forget any of this happened and be happy with Cameron, but that’ll be tough for Joss to do.

Next, Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) will ask Stella if they know each other.

Stella will look at Phyllis like she finds her familiar, so she may jog Phyllis’ memory on how they’ve met before. There could be some past link that’ll click into place soon.

Speaking of the past, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will feel like she can’t move beyond her romantic history with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) – not when weird stuff keeps happening.

There’ll apparently be another strange occurrence in the art therapy room where Franco used to work, so Liz will fill Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) in.

Someone will be trying to ruin Franco’s legacy, and Liz will be determined to figure out who it is.

That could put Liz and Finn’s future on hold – at least for a little while longer.

General Hospital spoilers say Finn and Liz still have a chance at being together, but they’ll have to crack this Franco case before they can truly move forward.
