General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, September 5, teases that Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) move will shock Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) while TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) has a clue for Jordan Ashford (Tajh Bellow). Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will also take a big step, so let’s talk about some party drama.
At The Savoy, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will happily throw Trina a celebratory bash. Naturally, Portia and Curtis will remain on cloud nine as they continue to spread the news about their own engagement.
When Jordan pops up at this party, she’ll sense that Portia’s uncomfortable and hope it’s OK that she’s there. Portia will inevitably plaster on a smile and pretend it’s wonderful to see Jordan, but she’ll have good reasons to worry about some secret spillage.
Jordan feels confident that Trina is Curtis’ biological daughter at this point, but she may get one more hint to seal the deal. There’ll be some clue that TJ accidentally provides, so it could confirm the father-daughter link in Jordan’s mind.
Trina will remain oblivious to any problems surrounding her parentage and will focus on Rory for most of the night. Since Trina will be ready to take a leap with Rory, that could involve revisiting the boyfriend and girlfriend discussion.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) may soon learn that Trina is officially dating Rory, but that won’t be the worst blow of the night. Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will think Spencer’s making the right call by handing over that truthful letter, but Spencer will ultimately back out.
That’s because Trina will suddenly turn against Spencer and argue that she doesn’t even want a friendship with him. Spencer will assume it’s a bad idea to deliver the letter at that point, but he’ll drop it as he tries to escape this tricky situation.
Trina will find the letter in the aftermath, so she could be on the verge of discovering Spencer’s painful secrets – including the fact that he believed in Trina all along.
Next, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will open up to someone about Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and her struggles. Sonny might have a chance to weigh in later, but Michael Corinthos (temporarily played by Robert Adamson) is someone else that Brando might lean on.
Over with Sasha, she’ll meet with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and learn her future at Deception is in jeopardy. Lucy will keep dragging this out, so Sasha will finally want to know what the bottom line is.
It seems likely Lucy will force Sasha out of the Face of Deception position and suggest something behind the scenes. Sasha should essentially be fired – at least from her very public role at the company.
Since Sasha will be so upset, she may turn down the consolation prize job and urge Lucy to just keep it! Sasha may quit and find herself sinking even further into this awful downward spiral.
By the Metro Court pool, Sonny will try to pry the truth out of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), who found out Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) slept with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) doesn’t want Nina to tell anyone, so it’ll be hard for Nina as Sonny pressures her to come clean.
Fortunately, a distraction may spare Nina – at least for a while. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will approach Sonny hoping to get a favor, so he’ll wonder what she’s getting at.
When Chase finds out what Brook Lynn is asking for, he’ll flip out. Sonny may be willing to grant Brook Lynn’s request, but this move will seem like way too much in Chase’s eyes. Brook Lynn wants to get Chase in front of a crowd for a performance, but he won’t like her solution.
Outside GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will become dumpster-divers as they seek Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) charm bracelet. Dex and Josslyn should find success as well as a deeper connection through this strange bonding activity.
