General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) could steal The Ice Princess diamond and unleash total chaos on Port Charles. Will Spencer play a role in the next round of destruction and mayhem?
GH fans know Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) came to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) after Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) memorial service.
Tracy offered up The Ice Princess, but Laura turned her down flat. She wanted Tracy to just throw it out with Luke’s ashes, but Tracy wasn’t willing to do that.
Nevertheless, Tracy did walk away with The Ice Princess – leaving Spencer disappointed that he didn’t get to at least see it or maybe even hold it.
Spencer seemed fascinated by the lore of it all, so there’s a good chance his fixation will come back into play.
Of course, we also know Spencer is basically being groomed by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) to be the next big bad Cassadine.
Laura is quite concerned about Victor’s influence on Spencer – and she has every reason to worry based on what viewers have seen so far.
Spencer has always had a scheming side and a sense of entitlement, so Victor no doubt sees the potential to corrupt and mold him into the ideal Cassadine villain.
It’s dangerous for Victor to be someone Spencer looks up to.
Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is yet another bad influence on Spencer and could end up being just as fascinated as him by The Ice Princess.
Will Esme pressure Spencer to steal it for her? Regardless, Spencer could take it upon himself to swipe The Ice Princess and do something to cause a total disaster.
The Ice Princess previously held the formula for a powerful weapon in the base of the statuette.
This giant uncut diamond paved the way for a weather machine that had the power to freeze the world in carbonic snow, so another deep freeze might even be in the works!
There’s no word yet on how The Ice Princess might fit into a new story, but they’ve set Spencer up to play a pivotal role.
Spencer may cause it to fall into the wrong hands – like Victor’s – and unleash some horrible catastrophe in the process.
However, this could also bring an opportunity for redemption since Spencer hoped he could make Laura proud of him following his prison stint.
Maybe that was a hint that Spencer will try to undo whatever problems he’s about to create with his Ice Princess obsession.
Whatever the case, it’s interesting that the show’s bringing back The Ice Princess for a new arc and putting Spencer in the middle of the drama as a troublemaker.
