General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, February 10 Recap – Maxie Abandons Louise at Firehouse – Peter’s Getaway Car

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, February 10, reveals that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) abandoned Louise August (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) at the firehouse for her own protection. Peter August (Wes Ramsey) also came up with a new getaway car plan, so here’s how all the drama played out.

In Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) hospital room, Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain) explained how Peter kidnapped her, blindfolded her and took her to a warehouse.

Valentin thanked Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) for being a “hero” and showing up in exactly the right place at exactly the right time.

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) glared at Victor and suggested it was almost like he knew exactly where to go.

Victor tried to gloss over the details and hugged Charlotte. He said Charlotte would be safe now and vowed that Peter would be very sorry for what he did to her.

By the nurses’ desk, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) offered Charlotte kidnapping updates to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) over the phone.

Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) approached Laura as she hung up and realized she knew the truth about “Bailey” aka Louise.

Austin admitted he might be responsible for Louise being taken and explained the whole sonogram situation.

Laura acknowledged Victor’s alliance with Peter in Greece and thought info on Peter’s daughter would’ve given Victor leverage.

Laura was eager to find out what Victor wanted from Peter.

Austin wished he could make up for his mistakes, but he admitted Maxie wasn’t answering his texts or calls.

That worried Laura, who ultimately shared her concerns with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

Laura also gave Austin the contact info for Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), so Austin called Spin since he had the best chance of finding Maxie.

On the pier, Peter reiterated that Maxie could say goodbye to Louise right there or flee the country with them to start a family.

Maxie told Peter that he could be the man she loved again – the one she once trusted and believed in.

However, Maxie insisted they couldn’t take Louise with them. She reminded Peter of his own painful childhood and knew he didn’t want that for Louise.

Maxie explained how they’d always have to be on the run and couldn’t provide a stable home for their daughter.

Maxie thought Louise could have a good life if they left her behind.

Peter struggled with the idea of giving up the little girl he fought so hard for, but Maxie begged him to make this sacrifice with her.

Maxie even suggested she was hoping for another baby – one who wouldn’t be taken from them.

Maxie wanted to call Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to come get Louise, but Peter didn’t trust her and knew what to do instead.

Soon after, Peter and Maxie wound up at the firehouse. There was a “safe place,” which was a special drop-off spot for babies – no questions asked and no security cameras around.

Peter said a silent alarm would be tripped and that Louise would indeed be safe, but Maxie felt this was so anonymous.

Maxie cried that she couldn’t do this, but Peter said she had to – and moments later, Maxie put Louise’s baby carrier in the drop-off spot.

Maxie said a tearful farewell to her daughter, but Peter insisted this wasn’t goodbye.

Peter thought the three of them could be together again one day and shut the door to the safe place.

At home, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) admitted to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that “Bailey” was actually Louise.

Liz and Finn understood the deception once they learned the full explanation.

After Brook Lynn heard about Valentin’s ordeal, she headed for the hospital.

Chase beat himself up for being a cop and still not being able to protect Louise, but Finn felt his brother did the best he could.

Once Chase cried in Finn’s embrace, he gathered his strength again and got a call from Anna.

Chase agreed to do some unofficial work tonight and didn’t think it mattered much since he was already in hot water with the PCPD.

After Chase took off with his gun, Finn expressed his fears to Liz.

However, Liz offered reassurance and thought Finn should stay at her place along with Violet Finn (Jophielle) since there was safety in numbers.

They flirted over Finn staying the night before confirming it would be on the sofa.

Back at GH, Valentin grilled Victor about why Peter kidnapped Charlotte, but Victor played dumb.

Victor also acted like he was in the dark on “Bailey” being Louise, but Valentin wasn’t buying it.

Valentin then asked about his own snatching and whether Peter or Victor was behind it.

Victor acted appalled that Valentin would accuse him. He practically laughed over Valentin thinking he’d make some “devil’s bargain” and wondered what he’d want from Peter.

Valentin argued that if he knew the answer, he wouldn’t be asking the question.

Brook Lynn interrupted, so Valentin got the opportunity to bolt.

That led to Valentin acknowledging that Brook Lynn’s plan was creative – she got the shares back while protecting the life of an innocent child.

Brook Lynn was apologetic over Valentin’s suffering, but he said it was better for him to suffer than for “Bailey” to suffer.

Valentin guessed that made him grateful, so he shared a sweet moment with Brook Lynn as they reflected on being a make-believe family for a while.

Next, Victor wondered if there was anything he could do to help Laura, but she felt he’d done enough!

After Victor hugged Charlotte goodbye, Laura wondered where her hug was. She embraced Victor and whispered a fierce threat in his ear.

Laura made it clear that if she could prove Victor aided and abetted Peter, then Victor would share Peter’s fate.

As for Anna, she met up with Chase at the firehouse and got him to identify the baby. Chase was relieved to see “Bailey” sleeping and confirmed it was her.

Anna assumed Maxie convinced Peter to walk away from Louise and found Maxie’s earring in the baby carrier.

After Chase and Anna realized that Maxie left it behind as a clue, Anna said they had to find out where Maxie and Peter went.

Meanwhile, Austin arrived on Pier 55 and saw the ship leaving. He called 911 over the kidnapping and worried it could be too late if the boat made it to international waters.

Finally, viewers saw that Peter had changed the plan and was heading off in a car with Maxie.

Peter knew all the ships would be checked, so he made other arrangements.

After Maxie said Peter thought of everything, she clutched her remaining earring in her hand.
