General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, May 19 Recap – TJ's Life On The Line – Liz Rips Up Violet’s Family Drawing

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 19, reveals that TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) faced a robber’s knife along with Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett). Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) also ripped up Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) family drawing as the stalker storyline took an unsettling turn.

In Brooklyn, Marshall initially seemed upset that TJ and Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) had come looking for him, but he quickly softened. Marshall even chuckled over the pair’s detective work, but he felt his family would be better off without him.

After Molly vowed to meet them at the jazz club soon, she left to give TJ and Marshall some one-on-one time. TJ made a passionate speech in hopes of convincing Marshall to come home and encouraged him to sit in on session at the jazz club.

Marshall had a special back entrance with no cover, but he was cornered by some robbers in the alley along with his grandson. TJ and Marshall were ordered to put their wallets as well as cell phones down on the ground, so they followed instructions.

One of the robbers seemed to have a concealed gun in his pocket. The guy pushed for Marshall’s clarinet and caused TJ to put up a fight. The other robber eventually pulled out a knife and escalated the situation.

Back in Port Charles, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) found Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and learned Epiphany was studying to become a doctor. Since Epiphany was off the clock and needed a break, she headed to The Savoy with Portia and Stella.

Meanwhile, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was already at The Savoy’s bar when a rude patron approached and referred to her as the mafia homewrecker. It was obviously due to the article that had been published, but Sonny showed up and got the guy scared enough to apologize.

Once Sonny was alone with Nina, they talked about Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) takedown plans and how far he was taking things. They were briefly distracted by Epiphany’s arrival with Stella and Portia, but Nina brought her attention back to Sonny and how he wasn’t wrong to stand up to Michael.

Sonny was grateful to have Nina on his side and felt he could fully support her at the hearing since Michael wanted nothing to do with him. Nina didn’t want to make things worse in Sonny’s relationship with Michael, but he felt he could help her by sharing his side of the story.

At GH, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) learned the test results weren’t ready and covered with Bobbie Spencer (Jackyln Zeman) when she overheard. Carly acted like the tests were routine and talked to Bobbie about the article, which Carly hoped would seal Nina’s fate in court.

Bobbie worried since Sonny loved a damsel in distress and could grow closer to Nina because of what was published. Carly acted like it didn’t matter since her own ship with Sonny had sailed, but Bobbie didn’t buy that.

Even so, Carly stuck to her divorce decision and said she’d never be over what Nina did. If things didn’t turn out the way they wanted in court, Carly acted like Nina would still be dealt with.

Once Carly headed to The Savoy with Bobbie, they tensed up at the sight of Sonny and Nina together.

At Kelly’s, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) praised Violet’s drawing, which was of her grandpa and Uncle Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

Violet explained that it went with another family drawing she’d done of herself with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), Liz and the boys.

At Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) place, Finn stopped by to check on Liz and learned she was hopefully asleep upstairs. However, Liz came down and complained about them whispering behind her back.

Liz was upset over Finn acting like she was crazy or at least some credulous fool, but he insisted it wasn’t like that. Laura and Kevin tried to back Finn up, but Liz was convinced that Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) ghost was sending messages.

A vase of flowers fell nearby and left Liz thinking that Franco was angry over all the disbelief. Liz ended up kicking Finn out before heading to bed, but Kevin noticed the front door was ajar later. Laura couldn’t find Liz anywhere, so she worried since this behavior wasn’t like her at all.

At home, Liz seemed to be in a bit of a stupor as she made her way inside. After Liz saw the drawing Violet had made of their new blended family, she ripped it up.

As for Finn, he met up with Gregory and Violet at Kelly’s. Finn confided to his dad that he was losing Liz and didn’t know how to help her.

Although Finn didn’t believe a ghost was haunting Liz, he felt there had to be some person behind the harassment – someone who perhaps knew Liz better than she knew herself.

Finn was perplexed since no one was around when the bizarre incidents were taking place, but Violet piped up that Liz was there. That got the wheels turning for Finn as he pondered Violet’s observation.
