General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 6, reveals that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) had a sneaky Christmas tree plan while Heather Webber (Alley Mills) blasted fake family man Jeff Webber (William Moses).
In Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) office, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) brought her a wedding invitation and wanted to know the latest evidence regarding the PCPD’s Esme theory.
Since Jordan refused to share privileged information, Curtis lashed out since she always kept secrets and only bent the rules when it suited her.
After Curtis left in a huff, Jordan marked the decline box on the wedding invitation’s RSVP section.
In Rice Plaza, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) quizzed Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) until he admitted Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) father was the man Reiko Finn (Mele Ihara) slept with.
Finn hinted about other complications and mentioned his disapproval of Liz’s bond with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), but Alexis acted like Finn should fight for love.
Alexis also had questions about Esme’s attack on Elizabeth – like why she didn’t finish Liz off and where she ran off to that night.
Finn got an idea about a missing puzzle piece, so he thanked Alexis for her help before taking off.
Once Curtis summoned Alexis for a meeting, they were on the same page about trying to catch a killer.
Alexis and Curtis wanted to learn the investigation details that were being kept under wraps, so they put their heads together on how to achieve that.
At GH, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) once again encouraged Marshall Ashford (Donnell Turner) to get genetic counseling and implied that his diagnosis could be wrong.
However, Marshall wanted Portia to drop the idea – and Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) pushed the doc to accept his wishes.
Back at Rice Plaza, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) did some Christmas shopping with Ava Jerome (Maura West) before Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) appeared.
Rory wanted to take Trina someplace special for dinner later to celebrate three months of being an official couple.
Nearby, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) crushed a gingerbread man as he fumed over the destroyed necklace, but he assured Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) that he’d work another angle to accomplish his plans.
Victor also urged the deputy mayor to pull the necessary strings on a favor he wanted, so Ashby did what she was told and handled it.
In a moment alone with Ava, Victor hinted about Nikolas being more than ready to move on.
Ava refused to let Victor stir up any jealousy, but Victor acted like Nikolas had needs to be met.
When Ava reconvened with Trina, she admitted she envied her relationship with a trustworthy man like Rory.
Trina acknowledged that Rory was a great guy, but she couldn’t forget about Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).
That left Ava suggesting that it was best to avoid complicated men altogether since they created chaos.
At Pentonville, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) pushed Spencer to side with him over Victor and hoped that their bond would continue after Spencer’s eventual release.
Cyrus then offered an early Christmas gift and revealed two small turtledove trinkets in a box – one for Spencer and one for Trina.
Although Spencer knew Trina would love them, he thought the best gift he could give her was to stay as far away as possible.
Cyrus encouraged Spencer to take the gift and follow his heart just before Victor showed up.
Victor was there to discuss Spencer’s future and seemed eager for Cyrus to hear this news, too.
At Spring Ridge, Jeff arrived to see Heather and warned her to stay away from his family, especially after the Cameron Webber (William Lipton) incident at Kelly’s.
Heather fired back about Jeff only pretending to be a family man. Instead of doing the right thing, Heather argued that Jeff was the type to cut and run.
When Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) was wheeled in, Heather confirmed to Jeff that it was the one and only Ryan.
Jeff once again warned Heather to stay away from his family and left, so Heather took the opportunity to corner Ryan alone.
If Ryan could speak, Heather imagined they’d have quite a lot to discuss. As Heather sauntered off, Ryan made an angry fist with his hand.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas let Elizabeth in the north tower and was concerned over ill Esme, especially when he realized the prenatal vitamin bottle was empty.
Elizabeth suggested they’d have to pump Esme’s stomach immediately, so Esme jolted up and asked if Liz was insane.
After it was revealed to be another fake medical emergency, Esme confessed to taking one of the vitamins before tossing the rest.
Liz acted like Esme was starting to care about the baby, but Esme suggested it was the only thing keeping her alive.
Esme repeated that she wasn’t “The Hook,” but she thought Liz must be curious about what Nikolas was capable of.
When Esme brought up what happened on the parapet with Ava, Nikolas sent Liz for more prenatal vitamins – though suspicious Liz warned this conversation wasn’t over.
Nikolas scolded Esme once they were alone, but she warned that Nik, Ava and even Liz could all go down once the police got involved.
Once Nikolas asked what Esme wanted, she recalled a rare happy Christmas memory and hoped to pick out a live tree for herself.
Nikolas balked at first, but he eventually seemed a tad moved by Esme’s holiday sob story.
Although Nikolas left without confirming he’d grant the request, Esme seemed hopeful as she fantasized that Ryan was there.
Imaginary Ryan questioned Esme’s desire to go for a stroll and look for a Christmas tree, but she assured “Daddy” that she knew what she was doing.
Back at GH, Liz showed up to get more prenatal vitamins and was surprised to cross paths with Jeff.
Finally, Nikolas put the empty prenatal vitamin bottle down on a table at Wyndemere and answered the door to find Finn.
General Hospital spoilers say Finn will put Nikolas through quite a grilling session soon, so stay tuned!
