General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 22, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had a non-romantic roommate proposition for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) while Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) caused Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) horrific fall.
In Carly’s office, she met with Sonny and his attorney Malcolm (David Rees Snell) for divorce negotiations.
Rebecca Diamond (Kate Orsini) was on hand to help Carly fight for her short list of requests.
Carly didn’t want any of Sonny’s money, but she did want to retain the main residence.
Sonny said that wasn’t happening since Carly abandoned him. He refused to let Carly take the house and bickered with her about separating the girls.
However, Carly ultimately spoke with Sonny alone and insisted he set this in motion by sleeping with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Sonny proposed living under the same roof without the romantic aspect so they could raise Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) and Donna Corinthos (Ava Grace Scarola) together.
That didn’t work for Carly, so Sonny relented and said she could have the house.
Sonny told Carly that Donna would live with her while he moved in the penthouse, so they brought their attorneys back in and announced they were ready to draw up divorce papers.
At Kelly’s, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) tried to act like Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) told her about the gift he bought for Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) didn’t buy that and kept taunting Esme, who wondered why Joss cared so much.
Josslyn refused to let Esme play the victim and wasn’t buying this changed act at all.
After Esme headed over to the nearby counter, Trina ripped into Josslyn for making things worse and ultimately ended their conversation on a strained note.
As for Esme, she seemed pleased over the feuding and worked on the next phase of her phone mission.
Esme put another SIM card into a phone with a case that looked like the one Trina was in possession of. She then stashed that phone in her purse.
A little later, Esme looked at a still shot from the scandalous cabin video of Joss and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) on that phone.
Esme declared that it was almost showtime.
On the pier, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) made a video of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and Johann (Max Decker) while she was spying on them.
After Sam accidentally crushed a bottle under her foot, she nearly got caught.
At GH, Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) deputy mayor eavesdropped on Laura’s conversation with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).
There were concerns about Felicia going rogue and putting herself in harm’s way.
Once Laura sent the deputy mayor off to deal with something, Sam offered updates on her earlier spy work on the pier.
After Robert looked into Victor’s associate and learned he’d been in Austria over Christmas, Laura was more convinced than ever that Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) death was no accident.
Laura shared her suspicion that Victor’s return, the stolen Ice Princess and Luke’s death were all connected.
As for the dirty deputy mayor, she reported to Victor about Laura and the others getting too close to the truth.
In Switzerland, there was a shootout at the cabin, where Agent Krieger (Josh Adamson) took a bullet.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) wound up babysitting the guy and assumed he was a double agent working on orders to keep Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) safe.
While Drew and Anna went after Peter, Maxie realized the car she flagged down had Felicia inside.
Felicia explained how she wound up there after a happy reunion with Maxie and tried to get them both to the Autobahn.
Unfortunately, Peter ran Felicia off the road in his own car and caused a crash that left Felicia unconscious.
Maxie got out of the car and urged Peter to come get her, so a chase ensued until he eventually held her at gunpoint.
Peter aimed his weapon as Maxie invited him to shoot and prove there was no good in him at all – that he was just a monster.
Peter shouted that Maxie was supposed to be the one to save him and seemed ready to pull the trigger, but Felicia attacked him from behind.
Felicia sent Peter tumbling down the slope of the structure he was standing on.
After Peter’s gun went flying into the snow, he landed in it unconscious as well – leaving Maxie in shock over Felicia’s heroic rescue.
