General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, August 24 Update – Carly & Drew Pump Brakes – Sam Stuns Dante – Chase Spills to Brook Lynn

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, August 24, tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will pump the brakes while Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) surprises Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will also spill to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), so let’s discuss all the drama.

First, Dante and Brook Lynn will commiserate over their romantic woes, so it doesn’t look like either of them got a Sicilian thunderbolt cup.

In fact, Dante’s gloomy outlook might make Brook Lynn even more wary of putting her heart on the line.

However, GH spoilers confirm that Chase got a Sicilian thunderbolt drink, so he’ll guzzle it and feel certain of his future.

No matter how much Brook Lynn tries to talk her way out of this, Chase will insist they need to have this discussion – and that’ll lead to him pouring his heart out.

Chase will let all his feelings spill, so Brook Lynn will be relieved to know he feels the same way.

Once Brook Lynn and Chase know where they stand, they can lock lips and hopefully move forward as a solid couple.

There’s a good chance Sam got a Sicilian thunderbolt cup, too. Sam acted a little disoriented like perhaps the drink was already having a strange effect on her.

Between that and Chase’s advice, Sam should know what she has to do. We’ll see Sam make a surprising admission to Dante – one that should leave him disheartened at first.

Sam will admit she’s not sure she’ll ever be ready to move in with Dante. Maybe Sam will insist that’s exactly why she wants to bite the bullet and just do it now.

Life is short, so Sam can’t keep waiting around for her fears and concerns to pass. It’d be better to just tackle them head-on as a team with Dante.

General Hospital spoilers say Dante will rethink something on Wednesday’s episode, so that may involve his living arrangements with Sam.

The solution may be for Dante to move in Sam’s penthouse or find a new place that can serve as neutral territory with no major reminders of Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan).

Sam and Dante may agree that the most important thing is committing to their bright future together.

Speaking of the future, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will worry Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is setting herself up for a problematic next chapter.

Portia just got engaged to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), but can she really marry him with a huge paternity secret between them?

Jordan just eavesdropped on Portia’s genetic counseling appointment phone call and knows it was for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

Portia is obviously worried about Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) passing down his schizophrenia, so she’s trying to get some answers.

Unfortunately, there’s another reason to fret since Portia is keeping Curtis’ bio daughter from him.

Jordan will talk to Portia about deception and the destructive issues it can cause.

Since Jordan speaks from personal experience, she’ll want Portia to be careful and avoid making the same blunders.

Nevertheless, Portia won’t want to blow up lives by revealing the bio dad truth, so she’ll no doubt count on Jordan to stay silent.

In the meantime, Trina will hope to get to know Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) a bit better.

It’ll dawn on Trina that she doesn’t have much info about Rory’s background.

Rory will confess there’s a reason for that, so he’s clearly got a complicated situation.

Whether Rory is adopted or perhaps from a feuding family, there may be questions that he can’t answer and other ones that he’d rather not think about.

Whatever the case, Rory will want to be honest with Trina as best as he can. Now that Trina and Rory seem ready to go all in, they’ll need to let their walls down.

Over with Curtis, he’ll have a secret meeting with Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and get a reminder that it’s better to be allies than enemies.

Curtis isn’t thrilled about getting tangled up in mob mayhem, but he owes Selina for helping out with the Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno).

Plus, Selina’s right about a mutually beneficial partnership working to Curtis’ advantage. Ms. Wu isn’t someone you want to have on your bad side!

The interesting thing is the timing of Selina’s appearance. It seems likely that Selina is popping back up again due to a big reveal.

Now that Rory’s family is becoming a factor in the story, he may be revealed as a Wu relative.

As for Drew and Carly, they’ll enjoy another round of flirting before slamming on the brakes.

Although Carly and Drew will be tempted to go for a full-blown romance, they’ll ultimately hold themselves back in some way.

Of course, another change of heart could be brewing once Drew and Carly face some picnic peril.

A dangerous ordeal will leave Carly and Drew fearful, so they’ll ultimately lean on each other as they strengthen their bond.

General Hospital spoilers say Drew and Carly will have some things to figure out, so don’t miss what’s ahead.
