General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 11, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) got busted after a Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) toothbrush hunt. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) also pressed pause on their romance since they decided to keep their distance for now.
After Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) lied to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) about staying at Wyndemere, she headed home and lit candles to prepare for her session with a medium named Chelsea Lam (Jen Ray).
Chelsea arrived and felt this was the best place to work since most of the strange incidents had happened there. She needed an item that was significant to Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), so Liz handed over her wedding ring.
Chelsea looked rattled over a “dark presence” in the house and offered several clues that made it sound like Franco was behind the hauntings.
After Chelsea warned that this person was unhappy about the new family being formed, Liz struggled to believe this was Franco – though she was willing to listen if he wanted to speak through Chelsea.
Outside Kelly’s, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) argued with Sonny and wound up putting a hand on Sonny’s shoulder.
Sonny warned Nikolas never to do that and bent Nik’s hand back in a fierce attack.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) watched in horror before Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) showed up to derail the confrontation.
Sonny took off, which Laura felt was for the best – though she wasn’t pleased about Nikolas’ defense of Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
After sending Nikolas to get his hand checked out at the hospital, Laura and Martin sat down for a chat.
That led to a conversation about Liz feeling haunted and using Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herrin) recommended medium.
When Nikolas showed up at GH, he talked to Finn and revealed that Liz wasn’t staying at Wyndemere like she claimed.
In Esme’s room, she told Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) that she cut Maggie Fitzgerald out of her life for withholding info about her father.
Esme acted like she just kept the letters because they reminded her of happier times.
Spencer acted apologetic, but he shut Esme down when she tried to initiate lovemaking.
After Spencer argued that it should be special for their fresh start, he assured Esme that he indeed had something special in store for her.
Esme fished to find out if there was anything else Spencer wanted to ask her about, but he suggested they’d covered it all.
Once Spencer was alone, he pulled out the pill he swiped from the bottle in the closet.
Spencer then texted Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) since he needed help with something important.
Outside Charlie’s Pub, Drew pushed Carly to admit what she was up to since he saw her steal Nina’s glass.
Carly mentioned how Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) would listen and support her without judgment, but Drew couldn’t be that guy.
Drew insisted he’d be honest if he thought the plan was a bad one, but he’d always help if Carly was in over her head.
Carly ultimately revealed that according to Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel), Nina was Willow’s biological mother.
Drew realized this was about doing a DNA test without Nina and Willow’s knowledge.
Once Carly explained her reasoning, Drew was willing to help get a DNA sample for Willow at the gatehouse.
After they snuck in, Drew watched at the window while Carly went to get Willow’s toothbrush.
While Nina was at Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) grave talking to her, Willow arrived at the cemetery to visit Baby Jonah’s grave.
That led to more of the usual bickering – and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) ultimately joined in as well.
Once Sonny showed up, Michael acted like Nina was harassing Willow and gave his father a chance to say Nina was wrong.
Sonny refused to take orders from Michael and pointed out that Nina at least had the decency to apologize for her mistakes.
Michael didn’t think he had anything to apologize for, so he left with Willow in a huff.
Only Sonny and Nina remained, but she told Sonny they should probably keep their distance until all the visitation drama was over.
Nina thought they could decide what’s next at that point – if something was indeed next.
Sonny suggested that when the time comes, Nina should save a dance for him.
Back at the gatehouse, Carly came downstairs with Willow’s toothbrush in a baggie.
Drew and Carly were about to leave, but Michael and Willow returned home curious about what they’d walked in on.
