General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of September 5-9 teases that the operation to save Charlotte Cassadine (Amelia McLain) will get underway while Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) haunts Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will also face a marriage bomb, so some shockers are coming up in Port Charles.
After Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) shows up at Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) party, he’ll chicken out of delivering his heartfelt letter – and it’s easy to see why.
Trina will respond coldly to Spencer after everything he’s put her through. When Trina pushes Spencer away and doesn’t even want to be pals, he’ll abandon his letter mission.
In Spencer’s rush to leave, he’ll accidentally let the letter fall to the floor. Trina will find it and have to make a choice about whether she’ll read what’s inside.
Over with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), she’ll deceive Cameron Webber (William Lipton) after some sharing some close moments while dumpster-diving with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).
Cam won’t realize the chemistry is exploding between Joss and Dex, so he’ll plan a lovely surprise for his girlfriend.
Sadly, there’s a good chance Cameron’s romantic plan will end in disaster.
After Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) seeks a bold favor from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will disapprove.
Chase won’t like the lengths Brook Lynn is going to when it comes to getting him in front of a crowd.
Later, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will express concern about Brook Lynn and Chase’s new relationship.
Although Ned initially seemed glad they were finally on the right track, he may start to worry about Brook Lynn falling too hard and getting hurt.
Sonny will also pump Nina for info now that she knows Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) secret – or at least one of them.
Nina is in the loop on Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) betraying Ava with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), but will she tell Sonny?
Of course, Nina doesn’t know about the parapet incident, but Sonny already has a hunch that something deadly happened to Esme.
If Sonny gets more puzzle pieces, he could put the story together and settle on Nikolas as the most likely picnic hook culprit.
Sonny will indeed develop some Nikolas suspicions that’ll put him on Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) bad side, so look for Sonny and Victor to have quite a faceoff.
Next, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) will be tasked with a favor – presumably something for Curtis and Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) wedding.
This could turn into a memory trigger that allows Stella to recall the thrown-out divorce papers.
GH spoilers say Stella’s news will send some shockwaves later, so Curtis may learn he’s still married to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and end up reeling.
We should also talk about Chloe Lanier’s short-term return as Nelle Benson. It seems likely Nelle will haunt Nina since she’ll wrestle with her past, so that could bring an imaginary cemetery encounter.
Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will face a troubling nightmare as well, so that has Nelle written all over it!
Now that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) knows Charlotte is in danger, she’s fully prepared to help Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) free her.
Valentin and Anna will work hard on their mission to make sure Charlotte gets out of that boarding school ASAP.
Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) may not get all the details, but Anna will turn to him for backup on the plot to neutralize Victor.
This partnership could set the stage for some Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) developments since she’s headed back to GH this fall.
