Tonight’s episode begins with Sergeant Bell and her team capturing Kenny Kyle. Kyle was guilty of committing several murders as well as one attempt at murder and even a kidnapping. He was a bad guy. He’s done too much to ever be released from prison again. But Kenny can save himself from the death penalty by cooperating. The police wanted to know who hired him to carry off the first murder that led to everything else. Detective Stabler visited him in the infirmary. He told Kenny to help him with his case or he was going to risk dying in prison. Kenny for his part was old school. He didn’t want to be a rat. He didn’t want to testify on any of the jobs he carried out for the mafia.

But Bell and her people figured out a way to get him to talk. Detective Bobby Reyes went in undercover. He pretended to be a kid from the same neighborhood. He got Kenny talking and Kenny told him that people have already started to threaten his life behind bars. He knows his bosses want him dead. He knows they’re willing to kill anyone who stands in the way of getting to Kenny. Bobby even got stabbed. Bobby was trying to earn points by saving Kenny’s life but he never expected that he’d get shanked on his second day behind bars. And so Stabler gave him a bit of evidence that he knew would work.

Stabler told Bobby to let Kenny approach him instead of the other way around. Kenny was going to feel so guilty about getting a friend hurt that he would go to Bobby’s contrite and Bobby would give him advice on what to do next. Which he did. Bobby told Kenny that he has to talk to the cops. The cops will transfer him to a safer prison and he might get to see his baby sister again. Kenny liked that last part. He was willing to stay in prison as long as it got to be Florida and he later reached out to Stabler ready to talk. Kenny mentioned who hired him. It was a hired gun in the Italian mafia. And the feds were working a case against him already.

Dominic Caruso was another bad guy. The FBI has been making a federal case against him on racketeering, but Stabler’s witness can tie him to a conspiracy to commit murder. His case trumped what the FBI had. The FBI chose to follow Stabler’s lead. They got an arrest warrant for Caruso. They went to go arrest him when he made a break for it to the airport and the police were forced into several car maneuvers before they ran Caruso and his driver off the road. But Caruso wasn’t done. He tried to shoot him out of the situation. The cops returned fire and they killed Caruso. And so there goes the feds’ case. Only Jet did some deep diving.

Jet was able to connect Kenny’s late girlfriend to Caruso. She went to a party at his house. She posted photos on her social media of Caruso and Kenny together and it turns out she caught a member of the Silas’ construction team with Caruso. The photos prove that they all knew each other before Henry Cole’s murder. Vincent Bishop was now firmly entrenched in what happened. He lied to the police earlier when he said he didn’t know Kenny and now they have proof that he did. Vincent also worked for the Silases. He ran their construction crew. He also recently got fired from that job because the Silases no longer trust him.

They spotted an accident on the construction ground. There were people on the payroll that never showed up. There were accidents all the time with people who didn’t know the job. It was just really messy. Vincent had been running their business into the ground. They fired him. They called Detective Stabler to tell him that they fired Vincent for several illegal practices and the Silases claimed they only want to run a clean business. Which even Stabler knew wasn’t true. Stabler tracked down Vincent. He knocked on Vincent’s door. Vincent took one look at them and knew. He knew he was going to get arrested. But Vincent said he needed time to say goodbye to his family. He used that as an excuse to buy him enough to go running upstairs to the second level of his house. And he shot himself.

Vincent was gone. But the case wasn’t over. The Silases quickly replaced Vincent with actual contractors and they went on to finally break ground for their new casino. Robert Silas was proud of his son for getting them this far. And no one mentioned a Henry Cole had to die to see this dream come true.
