It’s that time of year. Not New Year’s or Christmas Day! No, it’s the time of year that NCIS was asked to fill out disclosure reports detailing their own private financial lives and Parker even asked for additional documents because six pages weren’t enough for him. The team had been curious when they found out he needed extra documents. They wanted to snoop through his forms when they got an emergency alert from Kasie. She said someone sent them anonymous photos of a kidnapping. The person that was abducted just happened to be Parker’s ex-wife. She was on a morning hike when someone came up behind her and injected her with a needle. And afterward, her kidnaper threw her into the trunk of a car before making their escape.

Someone with a camera witnessed it all. This person seems to have known something was going to happen, but it didn’t make sense that it was sent to an NCIS tip line. Not unless someone was trying to get under Parker’s skin. Parker does work for NCIS and his ex-wife was taken after he included her in his financial papers. There was a chance she could have been taken as a means of getting back at Parker. Parker considered this when he realized what happened to his ex-wife. He contacted everyone who knew her to see if they heard from her and it turns out Vivian was last in contact with Parker’s dad.

Vivian and Roman Parker remained on friendly terms even after the divorce. Roman was living in a retirement home because most of his children were spread out across the globe and so it was just Parker who got to see him on a weekly basis. They usually met up to play “Risk”. Only Roman doesn’t necessarily care for his son. He blames Parker for the divorce. He also holds the fact that Parker went to juvie as a kid over Parker’s head. He even managed to find a way to blame Parker for Vivian’s kidnapping. But that was proving to be true. Roman said that Vivian stopped by to give him some baked goods she made that morning and that she told him she was going on her usual run.

The run was by a specific lake. The team went there and they found a towel as a broken water bottle. They also found the spot where the photographer took photos of the kidnapping. They found sunflower seeds at the scene. Parker realized who that reminded him of. He reached out to his old partner at the FBI and he hadn’t told his team about it. Not telling them proved to be a mistake. The team found out that Former FBI Special Agent Frank Ressler was involved in Vivian’s kidnapping. They went to the man’s house and they found him dead in his garage. They also found evidence that Parker had visited the late Ressler rather recently.

Parker did own up to that after they found Ressler’s body. He said he came to suspect Ressler’s involvement in Vivian’s kidnapping and that all he did was knock on the door. According to Parker, no one answered. He then went away. Parker didn’t know at what time he visited the house and so that looked suspicious. The team was able to figure out that Ressler was murdered ten that night. Parker also didn’t come to the team when he began suspecting Ressler’s involvement and that meant Parker couldn’t be part of their team. Not while he was a suspect in a murder case. Parker was asked to go on leave while the team continued their investigation.

But soon they were knocking at Parker’s door wanting to know why his DNA was found on Ressler’s corpse. Ressler had fought his attacker and right now that DNA was saying the attacker was Parker. The team went to Parker’s home. They were going to ask him some questions when Vivian showed up. Vivian was no longer kidnapped. She managed to escape her captors and she got word to Parker. Parker brought her back to his apartment. So, she was there too when Parker was asking questions. Vivian had to answer questions about what she remembered from her own kidnapper. What she told them helped lead them to a pet store and the words “Nevermore” was written on the walls.

That word basically told them that Raven is back. The Raven could even be why Parker’s DNA was found on a murdered body and why his ex-wife had been kidnapped. The Raven was dangerous. He or she likes to prolong suffering as long as they could. Parker was being accused of murder and fraud because somehow the FBI claims they have documents proving Parker committed fraud. And so there was only one he could do. Parker and Vivian left town to investigate the true source behind all of these supposed crimes.
