In tonight’s NCIS episode, Parker has a past. He was in juvie as a kid. He got into a lot of trouble with his best friend and their favorite thing to do was to steal car parts from an auto repair shop. They stole from that guy three times in one month. Its how they got caught. Its how they got sent to juvie.

But Parker changed his ways after he got sent there. He went on a different path to his friend and that should have ended the friendship, but it didn’t. Parker stayed friends with Billy all these years. He was now an NCIS Agent. He leads his own investigative team and he’s since moved away from the old neighborhood. Parker was doing everything right when he offered to help out the short-staffed Philadelphia department. And it led back to his old friend Billy Doyle.

There was a murder in Philly. Petty Officer Third Class Danna Cally had been killed after tussling with someone and an icebox was found nearby with animal organs found inside. The icebox was weird. It was one of two things that stood out at the crime scene. The other one was the fact they found a broken watch and it couldn’t have been Cally because she was found stealing wearing hers. The team came to believe the broken watch belonged to the murder. They all thought that Cally was in the park that late at night buying drugs and so they questioned her former boss. It turns out Cally wasn’t into drugs.

She was into possums. She had a real love of them and she would go watch them in their natural habitat. Like at that specific park. Possums were meat eaters. Hence the icebox. Possums were also nocturnal and so Cally was in the park at night filming them when she was killed. Her camera was missing from the crime scene, but the team checked and all footage was automatically backed up to the cloud. There was footage of Cally accidentally filming someone beat up Sean Doyle. Billy’s nephew. She tried to intervene. She got killed for it. Her footage on the other hand had at least told them that Sean was also a victim. And not a perpetrator.

When they got DNA from that watch, they all thought that Sean was the killer. Parker even went to his old friend Billy who had turned his life around after a few bad ones and Billy said he hadn’t seen his nephew in a week. Not since he found Sean going through his cash box. He had blown up at the kid and Sean went sulking off to somewhere else. But the video of Cally’s death had showed Sean was in trouble. Parker told his friend and so Billy came to the crime scene when he heard that a young man’s body had been found. Billy wanted to know if it was his nephew. Parker confirmed that it was. And that’s when he heard it.

Parker heard Billy said that he was going to deal with the person that killed his nephew. The agent knew what his old friend meant and he tried to warn him off this path. He said no good will come from revenge. He also said this was his job. It was Parker’s job to find both Cally and Sean’s murderer. He didn’t need Billy poking his nose into a federal case. Billy ignored him. He later tried to bribe Palmer for any details he had on the murder and Palmer called Parker. Parker has always dreaded this day. A day that might force him to arrest his oldest friend. Billy didn’t go straight after juvie. He got into serious trouble. He went to serious jail.

Back then, the two men had enacted a “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Its why Parker has never arrested him before and so Parker gave him one last warning before he had to arrest him again. Parker returned to the case. He found out that Sean was communicating with someone over his pager and that it was all in code. The person on the other end hadn’t known Sean was dead because they sent him a message. It was to meet. Parker and McGee showed up and they ended up hitting a fleeing man with a car just so they could stop him long enough to question him. It turns out the guy was a DEA Agent. His name is Mark Sisqó.

The DEA guy said that Sean was his informant. They flipped him six months ago. He was since bringing them information on a dangerous woman by the name of Kat Hanna. She was believed to have been behind a recent bank heist and so everyone wanted to arrest her. Sean was helping them with that when he was killed. The team didn’t know where Hanna was. Parker went to Billy and he asked him for his help. He got Billy to give him Hanna’s location. They later arrested her for murder. They even searched her home and they found the murder weapon along with key evidence from the bank heist.

Which would have been great if Hanna hadn’t said she was being framed. Hanna had an alibi for the murders. She was committing another heist and she could prove it. Someone was trying to frame her for the murders. Kasie thought she figured out who it was. She later told Parker that the murder weapon was used in another crime eighteen years ago and Hanna would have been too young back then. The police at the time also had a suspect for that crime. It was Billy. The team came to believe that Billy had killed his own nephew and that he tried to frame for someone else for it. And so they went looking for him.

They couldn’t find him. Parker realized where Billy went. He went to the same church they used to go and hide in when they were younger. Parker went in thinking he was going to arrest Billy, but he ended up finding Billy about to kill the real killer. The killer was Colin. A young man who worked for Billy and who knew where Billy kept his guns. The guy borrowed one after he realized Sean stole from him. Sean found the baseball card that was from the bank heist. He realized that Colin was behind it and he tried to blackmail his way into the crew and he got shot for it. In present time, Billy wanted to kill Colin.

But Parker stopped him. Parker pretended like he would have gone along with it and Billy said he couldn’t do that to him and so he handed over Colin without a fuss. And Parker didn’t arrest his friend.

Knight had needed to go to a wedding and her date pulled out at the last minute, but she ended up going with Palmer and they had fun.

THE END!
