In tonight’s NCIS episode, someone broke into a serviceman’s house. He and his wife were supposed to be out of town on vacation however a tropical storm put a stop to that and so they returned home unexpectedly early. They also noticed right away that a vase had been broken. They thought it was the neighbor’s cat. They played with their inside surveillance cameras to see if it was the cat and that’s when they realized that someone broke into their home. They also realized he was still there. They said that part out loud for the guy to hear them and that’s when he came running out of the closet. He fought with the naval man before he made his escape out the front door.

The couple called it in. This happened on the base. It was apparently a part of the long line of robberies and so Parker and his team caught this one. Everyone was heading out for the night when this came across their desks. They had to put a stop to their original plans just to work the case. They interviewed the serviceman and his wife. They heard about the string of robberies. They also used outside cameras to detect that whoever broke in had gone to an underage party in someone’s basement. The perp’s name is Noah. Noah was even still wearing the same clothes he committed the crime in.

Noah was the person breaking into servicemen’s homes while they were away. He was doing so because he and his friends were scouting available homes for their parties. It’s apparently hard for kids on base. Noah hadn’t wanted to reveal who was hacking the military base to get access to the homes, but his mother ratted him out and she admitted that Noah has a big crush on Teagan. Teagan was in their custody after the party and so they talked to her. Teagen has a mother serving overseas. She’s bounced around from military base to military base. She was pretty jaded. She hated moving and she accused her mother of not loving her.

Teagen hadn’t wanted to talk to NCIS. McGee had to get through to her using his experience as a military kid himself and so that’s when Teagen admitted she was the one who hacked the military base. She found out who was going to be taking leave. She also used her hack to help her friends like Noah to unlock smart security systems at servicemen and women’s homes. Teagen said she was the only one with the algorithm. She hadn’t shared it with anyone else and that left questions because someone hacked the military base again while Teagen was in custody. After a hack, there was an explosion at the Naval Lieutenant’s house.

Lt. Tang was killed instantly once he accidentally triggered the bombing someone left on his tv. Someone used Tegan’s hack to break into his home as well and so the break-in had to be tied in with his death. The team looked into Tang. He was working on a digital butler who could read people in an instance and offer them services based on their biometric profiles. It was also something that could be used as a weapon. The team looked for it in Tang’s house and they didn’t find it. They had to go searching for it in the outside world. They found a teenager who turned out to be Noah’s brother that tried selling it.

The kid was just as dumb as Noah. He also had no part in the explosion. He said he chose to hack that house because Teagen had already put out news that the house was available for a party and he thought that if he robbed the place no one would be able to tell who was behind it. But there was a problem with the kid’s story. Teagan was asked if she knew Tang and she said she never heard of him. The team went back to talk to her only she disappeared. They had no clue where she was. They also learned that Teagen started to hack the military base around the same time she met her online boyfriend.

The online boyfriend was catfishing her. The team found messages between Teagen and this supposed boyfriend. They know he sent her a fake photo of himself. They knew he pushed Teagen into the hacking. He told her that she could make friends that way. He made her do the hack to help get on the base. He even killed Tang to make Teagan look guilty of murder. Tang was Teagan’s mom’s boss. He was the one that would have stationed her mom at a different overseas base. He was murdered because it made Teagen look guilty. And the team would have liked to talk to Teagen about it only she ran off because her supposed boyfriend told her to run.

He did everything possible to make her look guilty. The team later caught up to Teagen. They told her that her boyfriend was fake and they convinced her to help them. They tried hacking the catfish’s phone. They were unable to. But Teagen installed a backdoor on everyone she gave access to her hack. She was able to turn on the catfish’s phone and sent messages to him – that’s how the team ended up catching Jason Samuels. He was in his forties. He went to prison because Tang testified against him and that’s why he killed Tang and tried to frame Teagen.

Teagan was later reunited with her mom who returned from deployment after she heard her daughter was missing.

THE END!
