The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) will do whatever she can to avoid prison, but her goals are bigger than just keeping her freedom. Sheila also wants an opportunity to make up for her mistakes and build a genuine bond with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).
Of course, Finn is currently in protective mode when it comes to Sheila – and rightly so since she shot him as well as Steffy in the alley that night.
Sheila also cut off her own toe to fake that deadly bear attack, so Finn understands that they’re dealing with a dangerous woman.
However, Finn is also someone who craved a birth mother connection his entire life.
Although Finn adores his adoptive mom and wouldn’t trade Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) for the world, part of Finn has always longed to know his biological mom and have her in his life.
A deep desire like that can be hard to shake, especially when Sheila knows how to say all the right loving things to her son.
Sheila is obviously messed up in the head, but she definitely loves Finn in her own twisted way.
That’s why Finn could turn this into more of a mental health story eventually.
This could become a situation where Finn thinks Sheila just needs meds and therapy to find a better path.
Finn may be forced to bond with Sheila since she seems to be on the verge of blackmailing Steffy and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen).
Whether that involves Taylor shooting Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) or something else, Sheila’s apparently going to use some dirt to gain the upper hand.
In other words, Sheila will pull out all the stops to avoid her punishment.
As part of that plan, Sheila may have a list of demands – including regular visits with Finn and the chance to truly get to know each other.
This would be a great opportunity to have some conflict between Steffy and Finn.
If Finn’s heart warms to Sheila a bit, it could leave Steffy furious and determined to help her husband see the light again.
Steffy and Finn are a strong couple, but every soap pairing tends to deliver some clashing.
It’s not very entertaining if Finn and Steffy just talk about how wonderful they are all the time.
B&B couples that fight can come out stronger on the other side, so maybe Steffy and Finn will finally deal with some marriage conflict.
Sheila could land at the center of the drama, so stay tuned for updates on Finn and Steffy’s future.
